We wanted to stay for one night is a nice and quiet place. We found this b&b and we decided to book there. As we were five people they gave us the little cottage outside the big house. It was one big room next to another one that we didn't use at the end. Breakfast was included and was excellent... More

We stayed in this charming and cozy place in August 2014. It got a bit chilly, but the rooms and restaurant area were warm enough. The rooms were cozy and warm with comfortable beds and warm bedding. Rooms were cleaned every day. You had many options for a hearty breakfast with eggs, sausages, veggies, and a variety of tea and... More

My family and I booked the family suite - supposedly beds for five, kitchen and separate sitting room / bedroom with en suite. What we got was four beds crammed into a damp, smelly room that the owner was halfway through decorating. The walls were either bare, damp plaster or had half the paper scraped off. The carpets were pulled... More

We stayed here whilst visiting family and after a 4 hour drive we were looking forward to checking in and freshening up. When we arrived, there was no sign of the owners. Our name was on a board in reception with the keys and we found out that we would be staying in the annexe. We found our room but... More

e stayed here in August of this year and only booked this B&B because others were filled for a music festival... Where do I begin? Manager who was uncomfortably difficult to awaken from his nap on arrival (perhaps because of a hearing problem?), smell in the hallway, wet patches on the ceiling in our room and bathroom, no shower curtain,... My mother and I shared a twin room here last month when attending my brother's graduation. The room was spotless, the shower powerful and full of hot water! The chickens scratching around in the garden were both very tame, passive and absolutely lovely. The host was very welcoming and the breakfasts are fantastic! Huge range of foods and their home... We were put in the annex (no the garage) rooms 11 & 12 are in 2 garages by the main building. The garage doors are visible from the outside and has had plasterboard put over the lower part of the doors inside below the fixed windows. Our room had been converted to a very poor standard, holes in the wall... More

We made a booking for a family celebration a few months in advance of this weekend. Whilst a one line email confirmation was received from Silverwood Lodge at the time we were travelling some distance so thought it be prudent to contact Silverwood Lodge 2 weeks in advance to confirm all okay. All of our party of 7 were unable... More

This is an decent enough B&B either in process of upgrading (hopefully) or now in decline (sadly). Room was clean and bed comfortable, parking excellent, and breakfast very good indeed. Some parts in need of urgent decorating, and shower temperature control a major negative, but worst thing is the road noise. This place is right on a major busy dual-carriageway... More

We had a most enjoyable stay at the guesthouse. The rooms are clean and well equipped. Apart from some very minor cosmetic changes (nothing that a touch of paint can't fix) the accommodation is just perfect and very good value for money. The breakfast was excellent and catered for every taste. The lodge is a short distance from Milton park... More
