We enjoyed a great weekend, Room/suite 3 overlooking the harbour, and we were made to feel very welcome. The nearby parking as recommended helped to make the location convenient as a base from where we could travel to see our (many!) highlights of the south of Cornwall. The advice as to high/low tides and sun lighting times proved most useful... More

Hello again - you said you would do a review for Tripadvisor, and you did - thank you so much. Thank you for listening to my advice - I wish more guests just asked - they would avoid many pitfalls i.e. visiting St Ives and how to park without tearing your hair out. I understand you went home with lots... More

My husband and I have just had a fabulous 5 nights here with nothing being too much for Joy. The room was amazing with fabulous views over the harbour. The building may come accross as a little tired but the welcome that Joy gave to us and other guests outweighed this. The bed has to be one of the comfiest... More

Dear Mr and Mrs Porter Thank you so much for taking the trouble to do a review for us - such a glowing one at that! I am so pleased that you enjoyed your mini break - 5 days for the price of 4 and that you appreciated my local knowledge. It is always most gratifying when guests ask for... More

Cleaning needs attention, old dog hairs on carpets. Desperately needs redecorating. The cooked breakfast was nice, however being seated on a long table with others was uncomfortable, smaller tables are need to seat couples. Breakfast could be a tad later, say 9- 9.30am, 8.30-9 is a quite early. The double bed was quite uncomfortable and needs changing. Overall this B&B... More

In response to this review, we now no longer take dogs as it is so difficult to get a carpet completely doghairless in between room changes. The house is 170 years old - decoration is kept to a adequate standard. If one is used to living in a new modern house, the standard of decoration is completely different to living... More
