If push came to shove, camping, in any form, would not be my first choice whist travelling. Shkedi’s Camplodge though was our runaway highlight in terms of accommodation whilst in Israel. Set in idyllic conditions in the Negev, there is a convivial, communal air and we spent the majority of our stay in conversation with the staff and the owner...

Clean, open, friendly campground with a great atmosphere, really good facilities for the price, and great surroundings too (excellent playground for the kids just across the street)! If you want to spend a night out in the desert, you can't do much better than Shkedi's!

I was there with my son a couple of years ago and we had a memorable time. Though we slept in a tent on the site, it was clean, safe, and quiet. Staff were polite and firendly. Gil was very helpful with tour info for the area. Showers were spotless. We think about that time often. Special atmosphere in the...

We stayed with our family (2 adults and 3 children) in one of the cabins. Had a great time! Gill is very helpful. The desert tour with the landrover was a great experience, don't miss it. The boys loved the desert cooler.

We have slept in the 'honeymoon-bus' last november. In the evening relaxing with the other guests around a campfire, speeking with Israeli soldiers which came from their camp in the surroundings specially to Shkedi's Camplodge for good talks and fun, a welcoming owner. All these ingredients makes it to a very pleasant place in the Dead Sea surroundings. One of...

Great desert experience! Although my wife is not a "camping-style-holiday" lover, we liked it a lot. And that is the best compliment one can give ! :-) The place is immaculate clean (showers, toilets, kitchen), which is hard to believe considering being in a desert (literally!). The bed in our AC cabin was better then in most "regular" hotels! Nice...

After all these great reviews we decided to test it :-) Our experience was just amazing as the reviews. Great atmosphere, relaxed people, nice relaxing music over the camp. Gil the owner is nice guy, who invited us for mutual dinner with his family and friends. We have been in "Honeymoon Bus" which I highly recommend. It has it all...
