not a very enjoyable experience ,this place was good but seems to have gone downhill a lot ,they got our booking wrong and seemed to think it was our fault and had great pleasure in making a lot of noise about it, we eventually got menus after asking for them,my son didn't get his burger as very loud waitress got order wrong and he had to wait ,don't think he should have been charged but at least got a drink, my gammon was lukewarm but I ate it as I had had enough by then ,very loud waitress who kept bringing up the booking mistake to my wife didn't seem quite appropriate to me and meal was very expensive for what we got, not very enjoyable !!!

Visited with friends over the bank holiday weekend. Lovely meal and great service from all of the staff. Very friendly. Took the time to sit down and chat with us at the end of service which was a lovely thing to do. Will definitely visit again when in the area.

This was the first time that I had been to this pub, and it was very pretty. My meal was less successful though, The steak and ale pie was unavailable (at midday) so I had steak and kidney suet pie. The meat and gravy were delicious, but the suet crust was more like a lasagne sheet. Broccoli and cauliflower were fine but the carrots were virtually raw and I couldn't get my fork into them. I'm afraid the roast potatoes were very hard too ,very unpleasant. Can somebody tell me why restaurants continually under cook vegetables , I , for one, know nobody who likes them like that? My companion enjoyed their meal though.
