The Old Rectory Hotel is ideally situated to enjoy the best that Norfolk has to offer. With easy access to the Norfolk Broads, Norwich City Centre, Tourist Attractions, Norwich International Airport and the North Norfolk Coastline. The Original Old Rectory dates back to the mid 18th Century and served nearby Crostwick Church (one of the oldest churches in Norfolk). Now privately owned the Solomon family have transformed the Rectory into a beautiful Country House Hotel. Set within 3.5 acres of landscaped gardens. We have 16 comfortable and well equipped en-suite rooms, bar, beautiful conservatory restaurant, 2 function rooms, cosy lounge, and outdoor heated pool. Just 4 miles north of Norwich our rural location ensures a tranquil setting away from the bustle of city life but still within easy reach of local amenities (0.5 miles) and transport routes.

Very friendly hotel. Whilst quiet on our visit they do cater for events, weddings etc. Covid Social distancing perfectly applied. Restaurant service excellent with varied evening menu and very good breakfast. Would definitely stay again if visiting this area of Norfolk. Good staging post for visiting Norwich, Wroxham and the Broads

Initially, were disappointed by the room. Seemed tired and lacked character. However, realised that perhaps the cushions etc shown in the photos on their website were removed due to Covid19. Also in this climate who would be shelling out money to update a hotel. However, never judge a book by its cover. The staff were absolutely great, so very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent, well presented and tasty. Highly recommend their strawberry cheesecake. Loved the quirky garden. Plenty of parking space.

For what we paid, two adults, one five year old, we found the room very poor. The room smelt damp, and clothes and towels felt damp as well. When we requested fresh towels they were left outside the room and dirty/damp towels were not removed, towels didn't even dry on the on the heater in the bathroom. Cups were not refreshed each day, requested clean cups which did not arrive, so had to use the dirty ones. Water was only supplied on request, for that price it's usually complimentary. We found the food adequate, but over priced, We found the staff faultless and very attentive. Bonus was the pool, but would not stay there again.

We stayed at this hotel for my daughters 4th birthday weekend, like most people when viewing the feedback on little hotels we spent a considerable amount of time trolling though trip advisor to assess the general feedback and to be fair the comments made were a true reflection on the hotel and staff. Yes there are some parts of the venue that are tired and could do with bringing into the modern world however, this does not spoil the experience, the staff were fantastic and very friendly, nothing was too much, their attention to detail and interaction with other guests would put most 5 star places to shame, massive thumbs up and well done for this. The breakfast was very pleasant and yes it’s hard to go wrong with an English fry up, but with using local produce and not going
