Hotel is fine for 2/3 stars. Rooms are good but soundproofing doesn't exist! We went to the Hotel restaurant the first day but the staff was so rude we never came back except for the breakfast which was fine. Beach landscape beautiful but that's all. No clear water, jellyfish, longtail boats make you feel like you're staying close to the highway....

Railay Beach is such a beautiful spot, and space is so limited, the people who run this place don't really have any incentive to improve it. The "superior" bungalow we stayed in was really disappointing. Cracked tile floors, incredibly hard and uncomfortable bed, bugs in the shower -- the whole place seems like it hasn't changed since 1975. Service was...

We weren't staying here, but decided to eat here one evening as the location is beautiful. The staff were rude.. everything was a problem or too much hassle. The food seemed ok. I had a whole fish I'd never tried before & it was baked in salt. It was ok, nothing special. However, later that evening I became ill. Very...

We stayed for 8 nights in a second floor grand deluxe room and although positioned only a minute from the pool and beach, you had to walk along 'stinky path' where there was always a strong smell of drains. The room was spacious, had effective air-conditioning and a nice bathroom (although showing some signs of age and in need of...

A party of five stayed here in three rooms. The staff are very lazy and poor. On departing, using the hotel shuttle, some of our suitcases were dropped -- yes, dropped -- into the sea. Hurrying as we were to the airport, we noted this. A day later, we called the hotel FIVE times asking to speak to the GM...

The Sand Sea boasts a wonderful location in a truly amazing place—but we experienced truly awful service. It didn't feel like any of the hotel staff wanted us to be there, and nobody made us feel welcome at all. Every question we asked seemed like a burden for the staff, from how to rent kayaks from the hotel to how...

The location, beach, rooms, and views are amazing. The staff is brutal, unhelpful, rude, and slow. The resort does not serve alcohol, but you can buy (expensive) drinks from the mini mart and bring on to the resort. Costs about 200 baht for a beer at the mini mart. Basically plan excursions everyday and you'll be good.

I asked for some extra garlic bread at the restaurant for my daughter and my first response was, well you'll have to pay for it, it's not free!!...

Rooms spacious and clean, Ana our cleaner was very thorough and friendly. Location picturesque and inviting with lots of beautiful wildlife to see, including monkeys as close as on the balcony. Local amenities excellent, walking street has a variety of little shops selling everything you should need. Swimming pool great depth for children, clean and well maintained. Breakfast okay although...

The resort has an excellent location. Clean room, except some ants in the bathroom. Staff not so friendly. Average breakfast. I think the price is a little overrated for the services you get, you definitely pay for the location. But it's worth it, staying in a relaxing and quiet garden, on Railay West Beach. As Railay is a remote location,...
