We planned to take a short ‘pamper’ break from our journey through Spain, nice meal, pedicure, massage, swim in the mineral pool. Unfortunately, none of these were available and the pool had to be booked by the hour and a paid extra for even if you were resident. The place is more like a 50’s Convalescent Home than the website would lead you to believe. It was full of people who were obviously there for health reasons so no doubt it’s beneficial, but it was a mistake from our point of view. Jaraba looks fascinating but unfortunately there was no information on its history available. The restaurant is functional and the less said about our escalopes the better. Only worth a visit if you a) need a health remedy b) want to time travel to the 50’s.

We appreciate the time you have spent sharing your comments with us and other travellers. At the Balneario Sicilia we offer a wide range services and thermal treatments that aim to suit everyone's needs: health, beauty, wellness, for children and for adults... We therefore regret that you did not find the relaxing experience you were looking for during your stay. On the other hand, it is necessary to make advance reservations for treatments as these depend on what is available each day. To avoid missing out on treatments, we always recommend that reservations be made in advance. In addition, as you say, Jaraba is a beautiful municipality with much for visitors to do and, in order for our guests to be able to visit the area, we offer them various tourist brochures. Furthermore, our staff are happy to provide guests with any information of interest to make their stay even more pleasant. It will be a pleasure to welcome you again and to offer you a better experience.

We stayed here for five nights on a Vaughan Town program - their first at this venue. Although this hotel could do with some sprucing up, we would give it an Excellent rating because of the extraordinary staff. Nothing was too difficult and they really pampered us with their flawless service - from reception to housekeeping to dining room. Our room was large and comfortable with excellent internet service. The area, with lots of history, was wonderful for walks and the hotel's thermal baths provided both refreshing and rejuvenating relaxation. Highly recommended..

A very large rural hotel about one kilometer from the village of Jaraba. The main reason most people would come here is to enjoy the indoor spar. Such things don't appeal to my wife or myself and we just stayed two nights to break a long and arduous journey. Our room was generally ok except for the broken lock on our front door. On several occasions it took a minute or two to jiggle the lock until we found the "sweet spot". A bit of a worry late at night especially as only one member of Staff spoke a little English. Guest parking was plentiful and free. The wifi was excellent. The breakfast buffet was good and extensive. We had opted for "Half Board" and the evening 3 course meal was quite decent though far from spectacular. You could do far worse than choose this hotel and I doubt there is anything as good in the general local district.

We wound up here, on a road trip without a map. Tired, hungry, and sick of driving we wanted to see what the sign with a water fountain on it meant and discovered it was for spas and springs and it directed us to the Balneario hotel and spa. The prices were reasonable--including entrance to the main pool and dinner and breakfast--and the room was clean and simple European style. The sleep was to die for. The air is so fresh and clean...and it rained the night we stayed so we turned off the air and opened the windows and woke to fresh, amazing air and a stunning view of the Aragon forest. The spa looked divine but we did not indulge sadly; something we will have to return for. We did go outside and do so much needed hiking. There are several well groomed flat trails under lush trees, and for those of us that do a little more moderate hiking, there was a trail leading out to a stunning view of the valley. The forest was cool and fresh with a delightful scent... I am glad to have done this instead of use the spa. The river is so clean and clear you can see all the colors on the scales of the fish! However, we left truly refreshed and relaxed and would go back for an extended stay in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: The elevators are a bit noisy. I'd avoid being near those or the restaurant.
