Opuwo country lodge sits on top of Opuwo a rather dirty and noisy city. Once you have made it up the rather bumpy rode you find yourself in a beautiful main building. Rooms are however not adequate for the price. The standard rooms are very small, basically only the bed fits in the room. We therefore upgraded to a room...

We visited Opuwo about 6 years ago and stayed at the campsite in the city, owned by a Frenchman. We had the plan doing this again as we had a good time there and a good dinner. But we could not find how to reserve the place and have chosen for Opuwo Lodge. Indeed, her you will not have the...

A pretty hotel with an amazing view at the pool. Unfortunately this place is a bit expensive for what they offer. The standard rooms are tucked away from the luxury rooms and are dark, depressing, forgotten afterthoughts. We upgraded to a luxury room, which are much much nicer inside, but the views of the surrounding hills/area for all of the...

While the location itself, with the infinity pool overlooking the valley, was beautiful, the accomodation felt 'tired' and the staff rather uninvolved. Also, the food unfortunately was of mediocre quality. The tour to the Himba village (our main reason for staying here) was relaxed but very superficial. Much more could have been made of it. One did not really get...

We had had a long day driving enjoying the Namibian nature . We arrived in Opuwa as usually we used the GPS but so much development has happened in this town that the GPS was lost and it took us a while to find it. Arriving the impressive lobby with its tall roof and straw roofs, with real size wooden...

We would like to thank you for our beautiful stay at your Lodge and Campside. We really enjoyed the rooms and specially the good food. The Service was friendly and the pool was very refreshing. We hope to return soon.

The lodge is situated up hill in Opuwe with nice views overlooking the plains. Rooms are spacious with a nice terrace. Reception is good. In the rooms there is no minibar, no safe, no hair dryer and no paper tissues. There is a socket in the bathroom that fits European as well as American plugs. Water supply did not give...

Well positioned high over the town with good views of the sunset. Our room was an uphill walk from the restaurant but transport was offered which we decided not to use. Food was ok. Staff disinterented in Wifi which was not working. Food ok. Nothing to make us want to return.

Good place, I liked the view of the valley, the food, the staff and the room! They also have the opportunity to offer massages, I liked the one night stay over there. From this point you can visit the Himba population and enter in a great piece of history of Namibia.

We camped one night at the Opuwo Country Lodge and were very pleased with the campsite and ablution facilities. There was green lawn, a good braai place, water tap, light, a level place for the 4x4 and even a friendly cat who visited.
