This place should be advertised as a conservation/ animal rescue experience, not a luxury lodge. If you are visiting Cape Town and this is your only chance in your whole life to see some animals, perhaps it has a place. Otherwise rather make the effort to go and see the wildlife in a real game reserve. We were not expecting...

Staff could not have been friendlier nor more helpful. Food was beautiful, rooms were spacious and spotless and the surroundings were breathtaking. Saw a plethora of incredible wildlife, and up close too! Amazing experience! The next time I'm in SA I will be visiting again for sure :)

Only 2 ½ hours from Cape Town, we landed in a luxurious oasis. Inverdoorn Game Reserve has a beautiful botanical garden, full of cactae. On arrival, we were greeted and golf-carted to our accommodation, a luxurious suite from where we could watch and later pet, two playful baby rhinos, parked just a few meters in front of our bungalow. We...

I was visiting Stellenbosch (near Cape Town) and didn't have time to go for a proper safari in Kruger Park, so I decided to go for something similar but in closer distance. The game drives (each around 2,5 hours) were very nice and our guide Christo answered all our questions about the animals and wildlife. The weather was pretty cold,...

Our impression was that the safari experience here was more like being in a large zoo. The animals have been brought in from elsewhere, are fed by humans and in some cases isolated to certain areas - pretty much like large cages. The terrain seemed quite barren and sparse compared to other more 'natural' parks. Compared to Kruger or Sabai...

Amazing experience! We enjoyed every minute of our stay here. Lovely pool area, great service, friendly staff, gorgeous gardening, fantastic safari guides and lovely little cottages to stay in. Only negative thing was that the food was a bit too "British" for our taste. Would have prefered more variety in terms of breakfast and lunch. Besides this everything was perfect....

The staff so friendly, the rooms outstanding and the setting fantastic. Like an oasis in the middle of nowhere. The pool area and bar so relaxing. You would never expect the rooms to be what they are, like a 5 star boutique hotel. The only criticism would be they should rather offer traditional 'braai' in the evening as opposed to...

We knew we were not visiting Kruger and had set our expectations accordingly but I have to say the service/rooms and safari were all fabulous - Food average and not cheap to visit but no Safari is - I would recommend especially for families who want safari without doing internal flights from Cape Town etc

Due to time constraints, we were unable to go further afield for a 'full' safari, but Inverdoorn did not disappoint. From the beautiful and well maintained rooms and gardens to the opportunity to see such amazing African animals, this was well worth the trip. Our guide was extremely knowledgable about the animals and habitat, and all staff were very friendly...

Would visit again and recommend a two safari one night trip. Be aware though that all drinks are charged to your room and any extras including any shopping done , will have tax added onto it on the final bill Still great place. Though
