I have stayed there many times over the past 5 years, I went there last week for 3 days and I must say it has gotten worse and worse. The best thing there is the people that run the place, the cabins are nice but they used to be nicer. In my opinion they are not worth the price anymore... More

We lucked across this place! Very cool cabins right across from the beach. They were super friendly and spoke some English (very helpful given my bad Spanish). We had a two bedroom cabin that included a kitchen, full separate bath (jack and jill arrangement), picnic table in the front and BBQ pit in the back. Off street parking was nice.... More

The view we had was spectacular, Cabaña 12 (very recommendable). Fares are high, though. Wi-fi does not exist (anyway, not really needed). One gas heater went off but still leaked propane gas, which was potentially critical. The heater was a bad quality one. We had a pleasant experience, but for the price paid, I would have expected better breakfast (restaurant... More

We loved this place. We had been travelling for 1.5 months when we decided to treat ourselves for a few days and headed up the coast from Valparaiso to Maitencillo in search of sun and relaxation. We got the relaxation in bucket loads but not the sun! We hadn't booked anything, instead we walked along the front popping into places... More

I've been here more than once, and this place is magic! The cabanas all have a special something, not to mention their decor which makes you believe you are in the woods with elves and fairies. Beautiful, well thought! Nice chimeney and ambiance. The restaurant will surprise you with an excellent variety of both, seafood and other and breakfast (... More

I've stayed at these cabanas 3 times over the last 5 years. The first two times the experience was ok and the cabanas were decent. This last time we got the only cabana without a view (for the same price) and it was not very nice. Additionally, for two days in a row there was no hot water and not... More

Hermansen Inn at Maintencillo I can’t think of a better place to spend a long weekend. If you’re not familiar with Maintencillo, it’s a tourist beach located North of Vina Del Mar. A beautiful little place to enjoy the beach. For Valentine’s day I took my wife to spend one night in Maintencillo in one of the Cabins. It was... More

We stayed at Cabanas Hermasen for eight nights and really enjoyed it. They are located on the main street at the North end of Maitencillo. We had a hard time finding accommodation in Maitencillo while looking from Toronto and were surprised to see lots of cabanas and rental houses once we were there. I don't think they promote tourism there... More

These cabins have good vibes and were soulfully crafted to naturally blend the landscape...a nice change from Vina del Mar. The cozy fireplace kept us toasty. also included a welcome pisco sour drink & 10% discount at the restaurant, but we ended up grilling some steaks outside the cabin (a grocery store is just up the road). It was the... More

I have heard another review here listing this as too rustic...Flintstones is the word they used. I think those people should stay in a Holiday Inn. This unique property has been made of local materials to a fairly magical effect. The parking is nice and secure as is the entire property. I think the look is Flintstones meets Tiki Room... More
