Exceptional!! I have stayed in many places over the years & I can honestly say this is one place I would highly recommend. You will not regret coming here. Elaine was a really pleasant & friendly host. The house is superb, the room was ever so comfortable and the breakfast menu in the main house kitchen was very good. It is walking distance to the local town/pubs and if you want good pub food then head to the Hunters Rest - well worth it & great value. I will certainly be back if I decide to come back in that area.

Stayed just the one night at the lovely Ballinwillin House... We had two double rooms in this period Country House. The house had some nice period features and our room was very large (the second room not quite so big). Breakfast was down in the house kitchen and was very good, although it did seem a little odd sat eating in the kitchen. We paid €110 per room which whilst the house was nice and comfortable I do think it was a little on the high side for a B&B.

This was one of the loveliest spots I've ever stayed in. The room was massive, bed was so comfortable, there were pillows and blankets tucked away in presses if we needed more.
The staff was the nicest. The breakfast was lovely and they would have kept feeding us all morning.
We stayed one night and I will 100% be back.

Beautiful place, lovely rooms, fantastic breakfast and very welcoming hosts. Stayed whilst on a business trip and the little touches they provided from calling to check on our arrival time to making a reservation for dinner, made this a stress free trip for us. Such a lovely location too, thank you for everything.

We arrived to a beautiful house looking out over Mitchelstown. Our room was well decorated and had all the mod cons. Bed was very comfortable. Elaine who greeted us was so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely with a huge spread of cereals/fruits/yogurts and Full Irish if you want it. Definitely recommend a stay here.

We have just stayed in Ballinwillin House and we were very impressed.
Luxury accommodation in a converted courtyard. Two bright spacious rooms with an eye for detail. Beds, bed linen , towels bathroom were exceptional with organic Voya toiletries set the theme for our stay.
Our hosts Miriam and Pat added to our experience as we ate breakfast in their homely spacious kitchen.
The breakfast included organic venison and wild boar sausage, free range eggs , creamy porridge ( personal favourite) with fresh berries, cereal.
A Period country house experience while overlooking the town which is just minutes away. This is a working farm with red deer, wild boar and for those that want to relax, mindfulness gardens .
You’ll leave (did I mention they have their own vineyard, with a bottle or two in hand) knowing you’re going to returning again and again.

Stayed here with my 2 sons for two nights. Very friendly and obliging people, comfortable rooms and an absolutely fantastic breakfast (sausages are probably the nicest I've ever eaten). Grounds very peaceful and just the right distance from town. Would thoroughly recommend this place and would like to thank Pat,Miriam and their family for a brilliant stay. Was particularly impressed because when they found out one of the lads couldn't have breakfast ( he had a weigh in for a fight) they offered to prepare it later. If we're ever in Mitchellstown again, would love to stay here again. Genuinely classy place.

Everything about our stay was fantastic -- amazing homemade breakfast with their own delicious farm products (rashers, sausages, pudding, eggs), and Miriam's brilliant brown bread!
V comfy beds, gorgeous room, v handy guest kitchen facilities, lovely farm animals. Miriam and Pat were so welcoming, warm and great to chat to. Close to so many great walks, mountain bike tracks and scenery. In walking distance of Mitchelstown so v practical for dinner. Will be back soon and certainly recommend to friends 🦌 🐗

In the town but secluded away from the noise of the main road in a gated farm property. Rooms are in the courtyard behind the house.
Very comfortable room (like a very nice hotel) and the hosts Pat and Miriam were extremely attentive. My wife had some mud on her shoes when she came in and Miriam even wanted to clean her shoes for her. They couldn't have done more to make us feel at home. They even washed the windscreen of the car! Excellent breakfast including bacon from their own hogs. Mindfulness garden to help you relax. Everything worked in the room - TV, shower, WiFi etc. Hotel level hospitality with the friendly homeliness of a family B&B.
