In its day this must have been a stunning hotel but now it is dated and the religious statues are very off putting. We stayed for two nights and because it is isolated we had dinner in the hotel on both nights. We had the set menu {on the first night we were not even offered any alternative} on both... More

WI-FI: really good. you can connect all the device you need. it's open Breakfast: not the best one Parking: easy and free Heating: could be better Noise: creaking all around Staff: nice and hospitable The area is not the best one, you'll need a car to move. Is very good position for the "Camino de Santiago" but not the best... More

It was the first of two nights our family spent in Burgos, while hiking the Camino de Santiago. We had a "rest" day here and this hotel was just the ticket! It was a short distance out of town, but taxis were cheap and easy to catch. The hotel staff were very welcoming and our rooms were great and inexpensive.... More

Overnight stop during a grueling drive from the UK in heavy rain - more than pleasantly surprised. Excellent value for money a very short drive off the AP1 (Exit 1 Burgos). Staff throughout really friendly. Room lovely - sympathetically decorated and spotlessly clean (as was the rest of the property). Would definitely stop there again and suggest, if you get... More

If you are traveling to Portugal or to Spain, plan to stay in a Parador or Pousada. They are old palaces, hospitals or other historical buldings that have been taken over by the countries and run as hotels. Magnificent. So amazing to be able to stay in such historic places all over Portugal and Spain...Odysseys Unlimited planned it all...amazing.

We stayed here for a one night stop-over so were looking for something close to the motorway, hopefully with a bit of character. We were not disappointed! Access was easy, and the furniture, décor, statues, shrines, etc made each trip from reception to the room or back a voyage of discovery. They also have a bouncy kids play area which... More

Excellent rate for good quality hotel, very nice and rich interiors, nice people at reception, bar and restorant, good menu, good food and wine like "ribera del duero". Quite silent place, nearby the beautiful city of Burgos.

we stopped here on our way to the South of Spain and it was only about 5km from the motorway. We had dinner in the hotel which was good but also very reasonable and included a bottle of wine. The service at check in was excellent and the bar and food service was also very good. They allow dogs at... More

We stayed in this hotel for one night when travelling south . The quality of the rooms and the common space is excellent. No problems with the sound of the road next to the hotel. For us it seems like a hotel you stay 1 night, since the surroundings has nothing to offer. The staff of the hotel is friendly... More

A 3 star in hotel in a 1 star location? The sat nav was right, I was wrong. the hotel is not really situated in the village of Castrillo del Val, but on the main drag out of Burgos, which can be very busy. The location looked very strange, in a "business park" looking area. there is a lot of... More
