The best part of this "resort" was the staff. I actually visited late August 2011. The travel date selector does not go farther back than 12 months. I took my PADI OW here. The pool in the photo was amusingly NOT worth the effort unless you are doing your confined water training. I had full board with the room (higher...

A resort with character.. Not a luxury hotel but a getaway hotel - no frills but awesome view, water, and top filipino food - the grilled prawns were the best. Be sure to reserve a beach cabana 'kubo'- nice shaded service lit wifi and electric.

it's been a while since anyone posted anything about this place, and almost all of them bad, so i thought i'd chime in. the place is under new management now; ScubaBro operates out of the resort. rooms - spacious and clean. they're not uberluxe but they do the job. sheets are clean and made every day, with fresh towels provided...

I am not just trying to be critical, the Outrigger Resort was terrible, especially considering a basic room was about 80 USD; definitely more expensive than most basic hotel-type places or the simplest of hotels, but without the same level of comfort and cleanliness. The people that worked there were nice, but that is about the only good thing about...

Let´s use this example for constructive purposes rather than destructive, and talk about the better options. First of all, this is not Europe or the US, but a province of simple people who don´t live at the same level, and therefore are not competetive to deliver the qualities of holidays that we expect elsewhere in the world. This fact does...

My colleagues and I stayed in Outrigger in June recently. There was no electricity when we arrived at 4 PM. No water to flush. Sheets stained. Low maintenance. The waiter requested us to order dinner if needed at 5 PM. Who orders dinner menu 2 hrs prior to having dinner?. We paid $60 US dollars which is a rip off....

The place looks old, but it works if you don't expect too much. Path with 140+ steps between reception and parking area requires some fitness. They have small dive shop, but dive guide and boat are hired externally. Diving can become expensive, if there aren't more divers.

We booked at outrigger for a quick weekend dive trip. We left Manila at 5 am on Saturday and arrived at 7 am. for a 9 am dive. I was on a rebreatehr and my friend normal recreational diving. I was assured they would have oxygen on hand and we would have a guide and a boat. By 9 am...

This resort was surprisingly a value for money, the staff are well trained. Though the rooms and the surroundings look old.. needs a little more effort to maintain. Even the room, the linens, the toilets looks like it needs better maintenance. I think the staff are not enough to do all the works around. The room has a veranda facing...

Besides the crew, who were very nice, the price paid does not worth the service offered: 1. The room was ok but the bedsheets were very old and had rust stains, 2. the bathroom did not have toilet paper, 3. the shower curtain was full of mold, 4. there was NOT HOT or WARM WATER, 5. the flush was not...

“ask for a room on the 2nd floor if you want an unobstructed view of the sea. room 217 is the furthest from the dive centre but also the closest to the swimming pool. it is at the most a 150m walk.”
