Buffet breakfast was included - sumptuous and more than anyone could imagine. Room was more than comfortable and had a view to "die for." Staff very accommodating and always smiling. Very enjoyable property. Lake was gorgeous. Grounds were beautiful to stroll through. Fed bread (provided by staff) to fish and turtles on wharf.

This resort is off by itself. It is not within walking distance of a city or town. But it was a great place to stay if you are visiting Tikal National Park. The rooms are roomy and well equipped. The pool area is nice. There is a path that leads you to the water where you can feed the fish...

You can have a delightful time to read with a beautiful scenery of the lake, trees and still listen to the inner you along with birds, monkeys, and all kind of creatures. Great rooms and great services, they picked me up from the airport for free, the staff were very kind, the tour on the yacht was very relaxing and the jacuzzi was great. The food was in the pricey side but it was the best in the area

I visited this hotel in 1994 and it continues to be as elegant and provide the same excellent service since then. The only change I noticed was that you could previously see the hotel from the lake shore, but the trees have grown to cover it. The rooms still have a beautiful view of the lake, especially at sunrise and...

The best part of the hotel is definitely the beach to the Peten Itza lake. All of the staff is super nice and attentive, with a great reception with Rosa the Jamaica and some cool Towels. The rooms are fairly comparable, clean an have a small terrace where you can enjoy watching the sunset and stars. Enjoy the jungle sounds...

The hotel is located inside the rainforest, we could hear and see the howling monkeys! The food was very good, excellent quality and taste! What makes this hotel extraordinary is the staff!!! Everybody received us warmly, with a nice and kind welcoming.

Despite its remote location this hotel is excellent in terms of accommodation and service. Our room was large with a lovely balcony overlooking the lake. Large beds. Swimming pool is great with jacuzzi. Hotel also provided a free sunset boat trip. Restaurant service was a little slow but meals were very good. Only negatives were charges for water and wifi...

My friends and I were incredibly happy with the service and quality of the Camino Real Tikal. For the 3 days we were at the hotel, there had to be no more than 20 guests staying there. It sometimes feels like we had the entire hotel to ourselves! The staff were very friendly and accommodating to our requests! The room...

I can't say enough wonderful things about this hotel! It is the epitome of what you expect to find at the heart of Guatemala when you think about the people.
