The place is quite easy to reach both in summer and in winter.
In winter you can reach it also by skiing from Cimetta Rossa (Champorcher ski slopes) or on foot using the same track that you can use in Summer.
The track is wide enough for walker and for skier.
The restaurant serves tipical dishes taken from Valle D'aosta cuisine. You can book a table but there's no need because there's plenty of place inside and outside the house.
I have never slept there so I cannot give any review on this point.
What I can say is that the owners are extremely kind and you feel like you're at home.
I have attended this place for several times and I will always go back when I'm nearby.

The meeting again with Rifugio Dondena was a happy one. In 1995 we slept there on our return to Lillaz. Now we moved in the opposite direction to Piamprato for our hiking tour around the Gran Paradiso. Then we were the only guests in the apparently brand new mountain cabin. In our memory we had the clean room, the good food and the friendly services. Now nothing had changed except the number of guests. It was a real pleasure to meet again. If you can manage your expectations due to the difference between a rifugio high in the mountains and a hotel in an urban surrounding you will share our pleasure. More

Thank bloksimon
