Amazing place to stay for 2 nights. Clean rooms, clean toilets and excellent food. This homestay is situated amid coffee plantation. In the mornings and evenings you can go for long walks and enjoy carefree sound of lot of birds in the plantation area. Caretakers- Uncle,Aunty and Nishanth will do everything possible to make your stay comfortable. They also have a big verandah infront of their home where kids can play games like badminton, ball games etc. This was my second visit to this place and thoroughly enjoyed my 2 night stays here.
Being a homestay, rooms are basic. But both the rooms & the bathroom is really clean. so no complaints there! Food was amazing. The non-veg was like home food only. What stands out about this place is that Nishanth, the owner knows the meaning of hospitality & that works for me!! Location is literally between nature, so you can be rest assured about the rejuvenation part. great time or those who love photography. will be convenient to reac if you have your own car. all in all a good place.. will recommend it for sure.
Great experiences in the Homestay in terms of hospitality, food, friendliness, dedicated staff, cleanliness, hygiene and on many more aspects.. Must stay it is a really different property from the others as JD Homestay is not a place being run only for commercial purposes but one feels the real meaning of the Homestay.. Mr. Nishanth, a gentleman himself took great care of us right from the time he received us until he and his staff saw us off.. The desserts in JD are not to be missed and one smoothie was prepared by Mr. Nishanth himself which was completely finished within minutes.. If one wants to enjoy and have a memorable experience be it with friends or family, this is the right place.. Located within close proximity to Mudigere town this is located in a serene and secluded place to enjoy with your near and dear ones.. We saw a peacock and a gang of deers very near to the homestay which the kids loved.. Mr. Nishanth suggested very good places to visit which included a superb waterfalls and a mountain range with awesome view point and a 1500 year old temple.. This homestay can comfortably accommodate 10-12 ppl and for those numbers, the entire Homestay is yours.. From mouthwatering veg/non-veg food (with customization options) to enjoying many indoor games for a very reasonable pricing, JD Homestay wins on all fronts.. I'm very sure JD Homestay is a definitely recommended property to visit in Mudigere..…
Few Hours from bangalore was worth It !! Excellent ambience, food and friendly people. Very clean rooms, Huge place to play around for kids, awesome food ( Must taste Home Made Cheese Cake ( the best ), also the location is so close to many sight seeing places. Believe me, it's worth visiting.
The property is at an excellent location inside the Mudigere-area forest. The pristine forest, the pathway leading to the property, and the peace and quiet, make it potentially a great attraction, except: 1. Management is average, at best. When we reached on a Saturday afternoon, the owners/proprietors were out of town. By the time they returned and made our room ready (we'd informed them before, but our room was not ready), we had been sitting outside for 90 minutes. Early morning tea/coffee was not available, despite precise requests. Dinner was served late, with profuse apologies. 2. The lake inside the property was unusable. The pictures on TripAdvisor are misleading. 3. There was no tour of the coffee estate. 4. There was no proper help provided to pick up luggage from the car. 5. There was no internet or phone access. The food was excellent, and the owners were homely and affectionate. However, the professionalism of hospitality was missing. Nishant, the event arranger doubling up as a manager, was very helpful. On the whole, the food and location were excellent, but the overall management of the property was not up to the mark.…
