I stayed at Holden House for four nights and had a pleasant stay. Room one is relatively small, but cozy. It's always warm and has a comfy bed. The road outside is busy during the day, but very quiet at night. The cooked breakfast is excellent and I'd highly recommend the marmalade. Angie, the host, is very friendly and an...

Excellent accommodation and food. Very welcoming, the rooms are quaint and charming with en-suites plus tea coffee facilities in each room. Lovely views of the river, great walks around the village and canal. A really lovely place.

This is a lovely little place with beautiful views across the river. Our room was immaculate and very comfortable and the breakfast was the...

A lovely period property right on the bank of the canal. Angie was a charming host, and the offer of bringing a hot drink to the room on arrival was a nice touch. The room was comfortable, well appointed and spotless, again with some personal touches that give the place an individuality. A good nights sleep, and a superb, high...

Pleasant room with carefully thought out amenities. A personally served cup of coffee and a home made cake on arrival for a weary traveller was a very welcoming touch. Breakfast was excellent and the home made marmalade just finished off a lovely meal

From the greeting to leaving couldn't have asked for better service. Angie is a great host and looked after us above and beyond. The room we had was upgraded free of charge and all the things you would want were available. Well definitely visit again.
