The hotel is fine, albeit a bit quirky. Rooms were comfortable and clean, but not sound-proof, which can be quite a disturbance. WiFi service was good. We stayed on half-board basis and found the restaurant mediocre and over-priced. The hosts were friendly, but unfortunately not as accommodating towards our requests as we would have expected.

We spent nearly a week here and we still dream of going back! The food was amazing- seriously I've tried to replicate a few dishes at home. The hotel owners were so kind and friendly- they're very talented and Alexander was nice enough to guide us through a wine tasting! Everything was perfect!

We stayed here for two nights at Christmas. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. It is more like a lovely bed and breakfast, and more charming than chain hotels. A short drive to ski fields too if you wish to ski. There was no TV (not a big problem as we don't speak French...

Great hotel, with very friendly staff who spoke multiple languages. Very close to the Ski resort of Super Besse and in the heart of Auvergne. The room was very nice and the hotels 'communal area' worked very well. Great food and pet friendly.

If you ever have dreamed of running a hotel of your own - this is probably what it would look and feel like. In a beautiful, old house, Alexander and Anita run a homey, cozy and relaxed hotel. They themselves and their staff create an atmosphere that make you feel at home at once. (even the cats showed great hospitality)...

We spent one night in this hotel in August 2013. It is well located a few minutes drive from Lac Pavin. There are also a few hiking trails starting in the village. The hotel is in an old house, and it furnished with antiques which give it a very nice style. The room was spacious and clean, so was the...

My wife and I had the pleasure of three nights in a "luxury" room at The Providence. Of the two choices available to us, we chose the larger even though the passage from the street to the parking passes directly underneath. The extra room was worth the occasional sound of car passing slowly underneath The room faced the rear garden...

We spent two nights at this lovely newly renovated hotel in Auvergne. The owners have gone into a lot of trouble to make a place of great comfort but also in a very classic design. It is a hotel with its own charm bringing past and prersent together. We had dinner at the hotel both nights and the food was...

The owners Anita and Alex were charming. The beautiful old hotel was filled with antiques and vintage clothes and accessories. High ceilings, wooden floors, gorgeous staircase. We had a quad room and there were 3 comfy beds with a balcony and a very clean shower room. We had dinner there - the set meal was very tasty but you need...

Our stay at this beautiful hotel in authentic french style became a very pleasant surprise! This hotel is lovely decorated with brocante pieces. “Rooms on the garden side may be quieter”

“Among the "luxury" rooms available, we chose the larger of the two on the first floor above the garden. It straddled a car passage to the rear parking, but the trade-off for a larger room was worth it to us. Slow mornings with the space to spread out a bit was very pleasant.”

“I find it hard to imagine there is a bad one but if you are still in the mothers' light sleeper stage (does it ever wear off? 14 years now) a room at the back will have less church bell sound.”
