Being disabled as an amputee above my left knee and extreme pain from my right leg,and knee the following might help people avoid a bad holiday. Firstly access to the mobile home , a long stony ramp with only partial handrail. difficulty when trying to push a rollator/waiker up the slope. At last at the top of the slope - can't get in the doorway because it is too narrow, therefore had to unlock both doors. At last in the mobile home - troubles started here. All rooms had very narrow doorways and I couldn't get into them with the rollator/walker The bedroom was the worse I have seen - the bed was 12 inches from the floor and impossible for me to get up, with also 12 inches from the bed and side wall, my husband had to help me with great difficulty. The kitchen/diner had an "L" shape settee and we both ended sleeping at either end of this. My husband because he didn't want me to be left alone. In addition, we had no oven or grill,no toaster, which we bought ourselves and took it home,Two scourers for washing up and the bathroom - threw those away as they had seen better days and bought our own. the toilet "handle" to flush the toilet was broken, but just about worked. The fridge door was broken with a bodged repair never never again.…
A lovely quiet family run site by the river. Plenty of space with grass and trees for shade. Facilities include a delightful pool and a bar with food, bread etc on order and free WiFi in all areas so that you be in contact in your campervan. The friendly staff can provide maps of walks and cycle rides - bike hire is available. I found the showers as hot and powerful as I have come across on a campsite. Price out of main season is 15€ for two people with ehu, and 11€ with ASCI card - excellent value. We look forward to coming back.
Very peaceful and relaxing place , The site has very large emplacements with free wifi.We arrived just for one week end in March and the owners are busy getting every where ready. Plenty hot water and large showers. The owner is very welcoming we will be back in the summer as we can not find anywhere as peaceful as this campsite.
For late November, this site did not have all the usual facilities open but we were very pleased with the site. Noted comments regarding showers in another review but when we were there, we used the showers adjacent to the swimming pool and they were absolutely fine - plenty of hot water and lots of room to hang clothes and get changed. The owner was a lovely lady who was very friendly. Lots of work on the go and everyone was really nice. Wonderful setting for the time of year - misty, ethereal and so quiet. Very few guests so no problem booking in. Looks like a lot there for people during the busier season.
Had the misfortune to spend a night in our motor home on this site, the web site makes it look lovely, it was terrible, had a totally run down feel but worst of all the shower blocks were a disgrace, there were five showers all were filthy and three had shower heads that were broken hanging off the wall the only one that was usable after i cleaned it best i could, the light didn't work the worst site i have had the misfortune to stay on.
