The hotel was originally a farmhouse and converted into a hotel over 40 years ago. From 1978 up until 2008 it was owned by the Wright family. In early 2008 the hotel was put up for sale and bought by the More present owners who took over the hotel and submitted their improvement plans for the existing building. Then in April 2009 the ‘new’ Red Hall Hotel was officially opened by Sir Alex Ferguson. Sir Alex is a good family friend of the owners who was more than happy to nip down one Saturday morning, to cut the ribbon before making his way to Old Trafford for the game. Less

I stayed for one night as a lone traveller with work. It was really refreshing to stay in a hotel that actually invests in redecorating rooms. The bathroom in particular was great and looked newly refurbished with a fab power shower and the room already had an iron and ironing bo

Hi, I'm booked in for my nieces wedding 23/25 August. It's just me and my son in the room and he's a very light sleeper. Could I request a quiet room at the back of the hotel for these dates that I booked earlier on today? Many thanks, Mary.
We did have problems with noise from wedding guests in the corridors around midnight. Reception were most apologetic and suggested that in future we do enquire about the possibility of this happening so that we could be allocated an appropriate room. Apart from this, the hotel is highly recommended.
