The service at this inn was excellent and attentive. Our room, a Mayan-inspired "casita," simply oozed a graceful atmosphere, and the pool a welcome and refreshing amenity. We loved being able to walk into the friendly pueblito ofSanta Elena, a short ten minutes away. Meals served at the restaurant were tasty and lovingly presented. We've stayed in this idyllic B&B...

Stayed for 2 nights in a small "Mayan " hut. It was very quaint. The swimming pool was a great addition after being on the Ruta Puc all day. Valerie, the hostess, is fantastic and a very warm person. The kitchen here is fantastic, they could easily hold you to ransom here, but they don't. The food is great. Santa...

We had lunch one day and breakfast the other here. It is a worth trip out of Uxmal. I do not know if food is really local, but I know it is really good, fresh and tasty, portions are fairly large (one dish gets you covered as full meal), and good priced (MXN$150 per dish on average). Try their fruit...

This was the best food we ate on our epic Mexico vacation! We came in the afternoon after our visit to Uxmal and it was about 20 minutes out of our way. It has been six months and we still talk about the lunch there. We had our four daughters (14,11,8,4) and our Dad with us and each of us...

We stayed here for one night after visiting the ruins at Uxmal. The cabins are all very nice with a refrigerator, coffee pot, drinking water, and a comfortable queen sized bed with mosquito netting. Also was able to get a good wi-fi signal in our room. The only draw back is the rooms were a little dark and could have...

Thank you for your comments . They are greatly appreciated and happy you enjoyed your stay . Located behind the bed is a switch that will illuminate overhead lights above the bed for you to rest and read very clearly . A great place full of charm, beauty and a wonderful staff. Mayan-type casitas with genuine thatched roofs are very comfortable and have a bit of modern flair on the inside with clean tile accents and a generous bath/shower area. We stayed for 3 nights in the large one with a loft. The restaurant has great food and service. Valerie, the...

We stayed for one night at the Pickled Onion. The ruins of Uxmal are close but not in a walking distance. The hotel and the room are very nice. The pool has too much chlorine. We enjoyed having dinner in the hotel restaurant with very good cocktails. We would recommend this place to friends and family.

Thank you for your comments.... We situated 10 mins from Uxmal and 7 mins from the site of Kabah ... the distances are clearly shown on my webpage and one really needs a car in this area if you wish to see all the wonderful sites . the mayan style casitas are very clean and made me feel I was on an exploring trip in the jungle. The staff is very nice and efficient but the best of all is the owner Valerie. She is very knowledgeable about the surrounding pyramids and Mayan culture.

I stayed at The Pickled Onion for one night (November 23-24, 2015) as a solo traveler. The Pickled Onion is an adorable, charming, and affordable bed and breakfast.
