Borgo is the Italian word for village. Borgo Egnazia, a stroll from the Adriatic Sea on the fertile plains of Puglia, is a village of dreams hewn in the beautiful white Tufo stone of the region. If it had existed in ancient times it would have been the eighth wonder of the world! But although it looks as if time, sun, footsteps and sea breezes have weathered its facades, Borgo Egnazia is a 21st century creation that sparks the imagination with its characterful buttresses and the higgledy-piggledy layout of the casette around the central Piazza. You arrive at La Corte (the court), which sits like a manor house or Moorish Castle to the side of the village. It's a castle of troubadours and sanctuary though, not of battlements. Here are rooms where you can take your sojourn with us, descending the sweeping stairway to enjoy the bars, restaurants, terraces, spa and pools as well as the many secreted, gently lit bowers in a labyrinth of corridors that make it seem as if you had entered the Temple of Aphrodite! Alternatively you can choose to stay in one of the Borgo's casette, a deux or as a family of four, which nestle around two piazzas down bougainvillea- scented alleyways that you would swear had been there since the days of carts and horses. Larger families might prefer to take one of our 29 villas that fringe the village with their own plunge pools and shaded gardens, lush with oleander and rosemary. Borgo Egnazia is hard to describe. It's a place like nowhere else, with so much thought having gone into every detail. You have to come and experience it for yourself. What we have done is given glimpses about the many characteristics of the place. We hope you enjoy these. If they conjure in your mind the sense of a place rich in earthy provenance, splendid in its imagining and deeply restorative in its comforts and perfection, then our words will be doing some justice to the reality of Borgo Egnazia. Vair Spa Vair is emphasizing the role played by internal beauty, which illuminates each one of us and never deteriorates. We are introducing the results of a year's worth of research into an essential theme: The fulfillment of the psyche, that can be searched in a series of extraordinary treatments born precisely from this vision. Before choosing the best tailor-made spa itinerary, our guests often say they would like to feel happier after their treatments. This is why we suggest that you do not miss the life-changing treatments, which are carried out in the friendly and inviting atmosphere at Vair, the innovative and modern Mind & Body Spa surrounded by Puglia's natural beauty. We train every day to have the clearest attitude in welcoming you. The Training of the Spa Team has been extra-ordinary. Inspired and excellent teachers, all masters in their arts, left us tools and knowledge to enhance our methods for delivering committed Spa experiences in this changing world.

Perfect stay this summer at the Borgo Egnazia resort. Room, restaurants, bar (excellent cocktails ) small talk with a famous football player, everything was wonderful. The most pleasant thing was the atmosphere. Out of time... A kind of city of the past ( Dorne in Game of thrones ?) . The Hotel team was really smart and nice. My best experience in Italy !

the hotel was top, very well maintained. But if you pay over 1000.-- euros a night, I expect that you get a bottle of water per day and person, especially when you cannot drink the local water. To charge an extra 8 euros for a bottle of water is very unusual at a place like this.

Dear Monika, we are glad that you appreciated our care for details, and we thank you for taking precious time to describe your experience. As for the water, we are always caring for sustainability, that is why we removed single-use plastics from our property, and we gave a Borgo Egnazia’s flask to each of our guests, that can be filled for free by the fountains at our bars. In case you want to buy a bottle of water, the cost is of 4 euro at our bars. We would have pleasure in welcoming you again to live Puglia in other seasons too, with different flavors and colors, but always unforgettable. Best Regards, Federico Aversa Guest Experience

Paolo, Guest Experience Manager, made our stay very enjoyable, helped book dining in nearby villages and fixed any issues - he was truly world class and made a huge difference! Kids club made our daughter happy with daily baking lessons, swimming and games. The beach club is a buggy ride away and nice but we stayed mostly at the pool due to windy and somewhat cloudy weather. Made-to-order breakfast was a sumptuous affair - special mention to the fresh Burrata cheese which was among the best ever. With many happy memories cannot wait to return next year.

As we entered this property we were stunned. So beautiful! Our room was also nice. The grounds were incredible. But the rest was quite not 5star standard.... maybe it was because of Covid, but the service was quite mediocre. We kept on having issues with the cleaning staff, since we had a baby who slept twice in the day in the room, cleaning had to be in specific hours. And till we complained to the experience manager that was somehow always a problem, misunderstanding or something else! Whenever we came to the pool, there was one girl, who was actually the life guard who was in charge of the towels and umbrellas and everything, for 3 children’s pools! Seriously! These are kids! You cant have one life guard, who is on top actually a towel person. Also had just two bar staff. Just seriously somehow understaffed! They try to be really waste/recycling friendly and they have a funny system with the water, which they didnt really explain, so we were quite confused about the no water in the room, in such a hotel. The breakfast was really nice, but the rest of the restaurants and food was also quite questionable.... they had a slogan that everything is possible, but we constantly encountered some impossible issues, which should have been mega easy to solve! During our stay there were also 2 big conferences, and the staff was also so overwhelmed, i mean, i know its is Covid now, but i am sure in previous years they were fully booked. How is it possible that now everyone is like headless... very strange. There were some individual waiters that were trying to do everything possible. But it cant be thats its like 2 waiters, actually it should be lets say the restaurant mangers, who, in their case, was quite unfriendly and indifferent. And the last thing to mention, the beach is just 0 kids friendly. Its very dangerous and also greatly understaffed. When we were leaving, i called the reception to get our luggage, it took them 40min to get our luggage to the car, we had to go twice to reception to ask where it was! Last thing to mention, they have an amazing aqua yoga teacher! If you do go and like yoga, definitely book him!! The hotel is beautiful. But the staff, the food, and the service is just really suffering for some reason. Quite disappointing, especially for the money you pay!
