Porto Sani Having recently welcomed a little one to our family there was only one option for us to holiday as a newly formed family of four- the recently refurbished (and super baby/child friendly) Porto Sani. Having ticked off 3/5 saniresorts hotels, how did Porto compare? We would say well, The recent refurbishment has really extended the offering at Porto almost feeling like a resort in its own right. From adult only, a new splash pad and 2x child friendly pools to the creme de la creme - one of largest heated outdoor pools in Greece. This in of course in addition to the abundance of facilities that each of the hotel provides, ie kids clubs, gym, spa etc Porto now offers a total of 4 restaurants, 3 a la carte and 1 buffet. (Plus an additional 2 bars - Pool and Sea Breeze). To us El Puerto, Elia and Lima have really enhanced the food offering from Michelin quality food to stunning decor our evenings spent here were some of our favourite. Rooms are split into two story blocks spaciously located between water features and olive groves. Rooms comprise of Junior, One and Two bedroom suites all of which offer sea, pool or garden views. We stayed in a one bedroom suite which was ample space for 2 adults, a 6 yr and 5 month old. The child/baby friendly facilities are what led us to selecting Porto - from cribs, bouncers to child friendly products this is essentially why we selected Porto as our first family of four stay. As those who have visited Sani a major perk to the resort is the wealth of facilities across the whole sani site in which are accessible to all guests…from the glorious marina, restaurants and shopping outlets to the extensive sports facilities from bike rentals to the extremely fun tree top adventure. Of course no holiday is complete with a trip to the beach, with Sani occupying its fair share. As in previous stays our favourite is still the small and child friendly cove situated at Sani Beach is still a favourite with many afternoons spent making sandcastles under the shaded umbrellas at BabeWatch. As always we leave Sani with found family memories and securing it as one of our top family hotels.

We stayed at Sani Beach previously and this time came back to Porto Sani, so thought some comparisons might be helpful. Firstly though, as all the reviews on here show, Sani Resort is absolutely lovely and full of repeat visitors for a reason. If you have kids, it’s the perfect place to come and relax safe in knowledge they’ll have a great time in the clubs. There’s a fantastic choice of restaurants, loads of pools, lovely beach, many activities… and the service is all spot on. There are golf buggies to get between different bits of the resort and the kids were crazy for these (the buggies, the pools and kids club were their top 3 things of the hol!). We are a family of four (our kids are 4 and 8) and at Sani Beach we stayed in two interconnecting rooms. This worked well, both rooms had bathrooms with showers but no bath. We paid extra for a sea view and it was lovely. Sani Beach has the biggest buffet restaurant (Poseidon) and you don’t have to book. This is really helpful if you need a bit of flexibility re meal times, eg kids are super tired and you just need to eat at 1830. SB kids club is excellent and you are close to the tennis centre. You got two litres of bottled water in your room each day. We decided to try Porto on our second one trip. I think the accommodation probably worked better for us here; we had a one bed suite so kids slept on pull out in lounge, we had a lovely king size bedroom. Bathroom had a bath which was a plus. We paid a bit extra to have a garden and it was lovely to have the outside space. Only one litre of complimentary water a day though which is not enough for 4 people. You are closer to the marina at Porto which is where the bulk of restaurants are. The Porto buffet is called Artemis and there is no lunch buffet (unlike SB). We ate at the Porto pool bar on our arrival day just to get something quick (this was the only on-site option) and I did notice the cheapest kids option for lunch was a marguerita pizza for 13 euros, when the lunch spend allowance is only 12.5. In other places the kids allowance was enough to actually cover a simple main. The Porto dinner buffet (Artemis) has to be booked in advance and that was a bit annoying, although in reality if you turn up 15 min early/late the staff won’t turn you away. I think the Porto allowance for “dine around” is also a bit more than SB (the amount you’re allowed to put towards a la carte meals in the restaurants if you are full board). We did have one day at Porto where they said the main buffet was full for breakfast and we had to wait for a table. There is a second breakfast restaurant (Elia) with a smaller buffet but the kids were less keen on it as it didn’t do some of the things they like.9 The Porto kids club was great, very professionally run and the kids had an excellent time - they were both keen to go each morning. The pools are good too and there is a kids play /splash area in both Sani Beach and Porto. The main playground is at Sani Beach next to the kids’ pool. Overall, we are planning to go again and will stay at Porto. Other things… we did book a court at the tennis centre and racket and ball hire is included in price, they also include plenty of bottled water and towels. We are by no means serious tennis players but the centre seems very impressive. We debated signing our oldest up for the tennis classes but I was put off by the recommendation it’s really for kids who play at least 2-3 times a week already. Some tips regardless of where you stay: - Book the kids club as soon as you book your accommodation - Check when restaurant booking opens for your stay and get on it - the earlier sittings in the restaurants book up really quickly especially for Macaroni, the Italian. - there is plenty of water at breakfast so fill up kids’ water bottles etc there for the day to avoid buying loads - everything on site is very expensive (whether in hotel or the shops in the resort) so consider taking basic snacks with you if you need to bridge gap for kids between lunch and dinner. - For tips we tended to add on at each meal the first time we went but there is also an option to add a blanket tip when you pay your check out bill, if that’s easier for you - Some of the places on the marina are not part of the hotel but you can charge stuff to your room everywhere - We had to go to the drugstore in the marina when we first visited and it only sold “natural” remedies ie no medication - we didn’t have to go on our latest visit so not sure if this is still the same but in case make sure you travel with calpol etc and don’t rely on buying stuff out there. - Our favourite places for coffee were at the marina creperie (also: amazing crepes!!) and the Bousolas beach bar overlooking the sea (this was also our favourite stretch of beach - seemed far less crowded but is next to SB).

We are regular visitors to Sani resort as a couple but also often visit with our extended family and friends with their younger children. All of us choose Sani each year as our favourite place to holiday. Porto Sani has recently had a huge makeover and the whole place is now even more luxurious. The two new restaurants Elia and Lima are simply outstanding. There are now 27 restaurants you can dine at across the 5 Sani hotels and the Marina, these two restaurants were some of our favourites. Both the food and service were amazing. The new extended pools with both a dedicated children's area and an adult only area are just stunning. The bedrooms are beautiful and are spotlessly clean with great facilities. The team at Porto are fantastic and go out of their way to make your stay even more memorable. We are very much looking forward to visiting again in May.

The staff make this place amazing. The main reason for 4 stars is it is like a posh centerparcs. The regular guests know all the tricks to getting the most out of your stay but the things we found frustrating were: - You need to book the kids club up to a year in advance apparently, if not you have to go every morning and queue. With a 3 and 5 year old this is not ideal as we really wanted those few hours to rest ourselves. The team their are incredible at trying to squeeze you in but the process is clearly broken as some people hog it for the entire time. - Same with restaurants, you need to book your week up. We'd prefer to feel free to choose and this was quite stifling. Again most fit you in if you get there early. - The other note on the restaurants is although it sounds like there are liots, half of them seem to serve the same Greek food. Fine, but if that's not your palate you're quite limited. - Weather was very cold in October, coat weather with a 2-3 hours of warmth, not heat in the afternoon. Clearly not on Sani, just reflecting on this. - Team cannot do enough to help. THey are exceptional. For instance, in Macaroni they knew our order after our 2nd visit and couldn't have been lovelier when we had a booking cancelled on us. - Facilities are nice, but no clue why Brits etc would pay £1,200 - £2k pn in peak months.

We stayed at Porto Sani during October half term and had an amazing time. We have previously stayed in Club but decided to try Porto as it is nearer to all the activities. The resort is beautiful and the main pool is absolutely fabulous - one of the best ones I have experienced. It was also so nice to be close to the marina - literally 2 mins and we were there. My daughter loved the kids club - wanted to go nearly every day and my son enjoyed wandering over to Ozone for his gaming fix! Unfortunately I had a fall on the first day and twisted my ankle badly, but Porto dealt with it superbly - organising taxis to the local hospital for X-rays and making sure I always had a golf buggy to transport me around. It could have ruined the holiday, but thanks to their care and attention it didn't. Basically the moral of the story is that if you have to sprain your ankle on holiday - make sure you do it in Sani!

This was our first sani experience and we had a wonderful time. We stayed at Porto and loved our stay. We are a family of four with two kids three and under. It really is the perfect combination of luxury mixed with top child friendly detail. Our bedroom was always spotless, the food was superb. Our favourite restaurants were ‘El Puerto’ and ‘Lima’ which in our opinion provided some of the best dishes we have ever tasted (we are huge foodies). We didn’t pre book kids club however the lovely team managed to find slots for our children. They are totally honest and trustworthy and as per my request did inform me when my child wouldn’t settle (he had yet to start any form of childcare at home so it was all too new for him). We requested the same babysitter throughout our stay but happened to have two different ones. Both were very trustworthy, easy going and looked after our babies while they slept and while keeping us at ease every evening. They would WhatsApp us and were very nice to deal with. At the breakfast buffet my husband queried if they had Bircher. They did not. However the chef insisted that he would make me my own portion every day. He did indeed and it was delicious and hugely appreciated. Sani porto really is a 10/10 holiday destination it ticks all the boxes for a luxury holiday that is always child friendly. We would highly recommend staying at Porto and can’t wait to book our next stay.

We visited Sani Porto in October 2022 with friends and honestly had the best holiday! There is so much to do. The kids loved riding their bikes, took part in quite a few activities and really enjoyed the well organised kids clubs. The food and service throughout Sani was excellent and the staff were always friendly and happy to help. Our trip was made extra special, thanks to Rafaela en Chris who took us out on a sunset cruise on the Sani Swan, Tasou & Spiridos who looked after us at Elia, Daniel at Katsu who made our special evening unforgettable (thank you for introducing us to sparkling sake 😊) and last but not least Ioanna who were always available and able to help with all our arrangements and requests. Thank you so much to all of you. We will most definitely see you again. Have a great and well deserved break. Until next time!

We visited Porto for our 5th year in a row in September 2022. We came with our new son Charlie, 10 weeks old, and our son Luca who is 3 years old. We had the most wonderful time thanks to the amazing staff who looked after all of us and the quality of the room and facilities. Porto Sani is our home from home now and we love creating new memories on the white beaches and in the fabulous pools. A huge shout out to Ionna and Chrys who ensured everything was perfect for our two-week holiday and made my birthday extra special. A big thank you also to Jordan, Naoum and Stathis who always made sure we had the best service. I really can't speak highly enough of all the staff across the Sani resort. This is the best family holiday.

Just an amazing place just back from a spontaneous October vacation The resort is simply stunning the staff and the food are incredible. Being a regular traveller this total experience is hard to fault. The resort generously upgraded us to Sani Porto to an incredible suite . The weather was amazing and enjoyed the white party which was fun. I have already recommended Sani to my friends and shared the photos and overviews of our trip. No complaints and thank all the staff that made this a memorable experience
