I've just got back from our Chardstock village monthly coffee shop that is held in The George Inn. There was an excellent turn-out for the first such occasion since Clare and Richard took over. We had plenty of tea and coffee and lovely home-made cakes....More

Booked a table for two for Thursday night steak night ,two steaks and a bottle of wine. Excellently cooked well presented and value for money. Would certainly return and highly recommended. Good service all round from both bar staff and waitress's.

Went tonight for a meal. Sorry we aren't doing food tonight because we are too quiet. Amazing. And your not kidding. How in earth do you expect to increase business when you advertise food till 21.00. But at 20.30 you turn away custom.. Not really...More

May I ask what day this was as we clearly state we do not do food Monday and Tuesdays. We have a good core clientele who book in advance especially as late as 830. Coming in to winter months pubs and restaurants hours will change...More

Access via th3 front door is ok. Ba4 and ladies toilet on one level. Gentleman’s toilet can be accessed via th3 back door. Outside the back door there i# cobbles.
