What a nice couple run this place. Its' situation is spectacular overlooking a deep valley and in the distance the mountains of the Auvergne. We had a room in the house not one of the roulottes, shepherd's cabin or the special cabin for viewing the stars. It was comfortable, clean and everything that you need for a few days away. Breakfasts were typical French style with always the possibility of more if you have an exceptional appetite. The cheese fondue was very tasty and even I had to refuse more. The second night that we were there there was a loud fizzling sound and a flash of lightning followed by a very powerful clap of thunder (a little like a bomb going off in your ear) at 01:40 in the morning. The lights stopped working but the power sockets were OK. In the morning turned out that we had been lucky, our hosts had lost their tele, computer and connection to the internet, some others had lost the teles in their rooms.It turned out that the flash of lightning had destroyed two of the four power cables to the house; but they kept smiling and the needs of the clients came first. Highly recommended,go and meet these nice people, their children and all their animals especially their two dogs.…
