I picked this accommodation as it fitted in with our route travelling through the Pyrenees. I wasn't expecting miracles as I'd read all the reviews but was pleasantly surprised. Our room was slightly on the small side but for a one night stay with minimal luggage this didn't present much of a problem. Acceptable without being exceptional.

I know, the title has negative connotations, but all it signifies is that if you are looking for a French country inn where you are greeted on arrival and see attentive staff throughout, this is not it. Le Vieux Moulin is run more like a vacation rental place, where you pick up the keys at the restaurant next door (of...

Great location. Breakfast should be upgraded. Take it cause there are no other options close except another hotel. No shops or markets in town. Basic facilites. Deco retro... but you re in the middle of mountains. Great place for trekking.

I was not lucky enough to have a mountain view room, had I been my review may have given four stars. Very basic room, but the bed was comfortable and the shower good. I could hear all the noise from the corridors as people started to get up, but at night it seemed quiet. The restaurant opposite looked beautiful but...

Stunning location with views over the valley & both castles silhouetted on distant cliffs. Rooms clean & basic with en suite good showers. Only one tiny towel provided & on requesting another we were told we'd be charged extra - unnecessarily stingy for 64E. Early breakfasts to avoid walking in 33 degrees heat also proved problematic. However breakfast was worth...

Great room in a very nice little auberge style hotel. Breakfast was lovely and the restaurant is very good with a stunning terrace next to the 'Fontaine d'amours' and looking up at the magnificent Peyrepertuse.. Just booked for a second visit with a small group we are leading... that's high praise itself.. highly recommended

Simply beautiful location. We could see Peyrepertuse from our window. Unbelievable view and in the morning all hazy. Room was basic but was clean and comfortable and fine for our needs. Breakfast organised by someone else and was fantastic and fresh and generous and offered cheese and ham which none other did on our trip. Only problem was we couldn't...

If you are planning to visit the magnificent Cathar Castle of Château de Peyrepertuse and need a place to stay in the area, the Hostellerie du Vieux Moulin in Duilhac is recommended. The hotel is excellent value and has great mountain views. The rooms are basic but have everything you need, including a private bathroom and a very comfortable bed....

The little town of Duilhac sous Peyrepertuse is perched along the roadside and up the mountain, and right at the edge of town is a wonderful little inn, l'Hostellerie. It is small but clean and tidy. The proprietors run two inns, and good communication is important to make sure someone will be there to let you in (if need be,...
