Located in a quiet part of this small town outside Beziers, but with a good restaurant - La Boufanelle - within walking distance. Several of us stayed for a night in mid August on our way to somewhere else. Rooms clean and modern with good spacious bathrooms. Beds were comfortable. Good air conditioning in the rooms, which was vital with the temperature in the 30s and the pool was maintained at a perfect temperature. Staff were friendly and helpful. Will stay there again if doing a similar trip.
I had a very pleasant three night stay at Hotel Le Monestie while on a business trip to the Beziers area. The hotel has very comfortable and modern updated rooms with, for French standards, a very large and modern bathroom. I actually had to change where I had originally planned to stay in the area as when I arrived at the other property, the wifi barely worked! That wasn't an issue at all at Hotel Le Monestie as the internet service was very fast and reliable. The public areas of the hotel are also comfortable and inviting along with a nice breakfast area, pool, and outside deck. The location has plenty of parking on the hotel grounds and is located in a pleasant quiet village about only about ten minutes from the center of Beziers.
A Nightmare Experience! I reserved 2 rooms through the internet about 10 p.m. and after reserving immediately tried to call the hotel to let them know we would be arriving about an hour later. When I called, the reception was already closed so we had no access to the keys for the rooms. Our credit card was charged under a different name (SARL) after we had already returned to the U.S. I initially disputed the charge until Visa was able to provide documentation that turned out to be this reservation. After approving the charge as having been a non-refundable reservation made through the computer, I have been trying to have the hotel reverse the charge since we had no access to the keys for the room. After an email providing documentation and several phone calls we have yet to have the refund from the hotel. We slept in the car overnight! A terrible experience.…
Boujan is probably not a town where you might go as a destination. But you might stop there on your way to Spain, or if you are visiting my cousin, who lives right down the street. The hotel is pretty cheap, about 75 Euros per night. Nothing fancy, but the room was really clean, the bed comfortable, and the A/C working properly. They had problems with the Wifi while we were there, and couldn't really get it fixed because it was the weekend, but we worked it out by getting an Orange pass. The hotel is in a industrial area, 5 minutes from the center of the village walking distances. The village is cute, really small, one bakery, no bars. You definitely need a car if you stay there. The hotel provides continental breakfast for ten Euros, which ended up adding up for the two of us, but we like the convenience of just going down, have coffee and tartines and headed out to visit my cousin.…
We booked this hotel in May 2015 after we checked with Tripadvisor ,as we usually do.We were just passing this area on our way back from Costa Brava. We knew was only 2 star and we didn't expect luxury, but at least a clean and comfy room...we booked 2 rooms actually.. We arrived to the middle of an Industrial Estate,on the 7th of August, far from anything. Went through reception and were asked to pay for the 2 rooms straight away.Only after we saw the rooms we understood why they were collecting the fee up front! The rooms were at the very top of the building,3rd floor no lift! A kind receptionist helped us with one case. When we got on the roof we realised the 2 rooms had been created on the hottest part of the building exposed to ferocious summer sunshine,it was 34 degrees outside, an inferno like inside the rooms. Room 4A had black mould all over the walls a blood stain and pubic hair on the bed and hanging off the ceiling the light...closed to collapsing. The floor was also broken uneven and dangerous. The air conditioning was on its last leg.A 25 years old unit that must have had emphysema ...black dust inside the vents. The shower didn't have a high hook to hang the shower head from. You could only wash yourself from chest downwards....or hold the shower head with one hand and rinse yourself with the other. When we flashed the toilet no water came out..I tried few times...no luck...there was a water valve, I touched it but no luck, it came off..... it was broken too. Room 5A was not better,in fact stunk of cigarettes really badly ...When I pointed this out to the manager she hastily said"What do you want me to do?""People shouldn't smoke in the room but they do"....I replied "This is not good enough!Do you really expect me to pay for this?"She went silent! I asked for my money back....this was only 10 minutes after we had entered the rooms...or caves I should say.! No possible she said!No refund!..........also... The air conditioning was in a bad state, filthy ,slow, very old and a chew gum was holding the remote in the plastic holder on the wall. The shower had no hook for the shower head! We knew straight away we had been conned. The manage was speechless to start with ,she was embarrassed the least! After a while she started arguing back and getting annoyed....why are you so fussy? Its only mould,it's only blood it's only cigarettes and ash smell?!She was saying! We took all our luggage out ,nobody helped, nobody apologised, nobody offered us a cold drink. My wife was in tears, literally devastated ,shocked,hot...she was close to a total meltdown. Not a word of sympathy came from the unprofessional members of staff.I demanded a refund which was denied. The snotty receptionist told me to send an email with my bank details to get my money back...today 23rd of August after 3 emails No Answer and No money back yet. Check Alexukfg on YouTube for a video.... Stay away from this place!!…
A very pleasant hotel, clean and proper, located in a quiet neighborhood far from traffic and other noises. Fast and free Wi-Fi. All of the rooms are 'upstairs' and there is no elevator, so this would not be a good choice for a person with limited mobility. It is a 2 star, this because it has no restaurant, but there are several very good restaurants within walking distance. Overall, the impression is that of a 3 star.
We were driving through France, and looking for a one night stop over. We came across a sigh for this hotel, and were pleasantly surprised by the standard of this establishment. Although its not the Ritz, we werent looking for that, and our rooms were very comfortable and clean, and the breakfast next morning was very satisfying. The staff that we dealt with were very friendly, and although we didnt speak much French, we managed to get our needs attended to. The hotel has on site parking, and
I've stayed in the hotel during a trip to Spain. The hotel has a private parking, very friendly staff and is clean. An ideal place to spend the night when travelling. There's a nice restaurant (Le Puck) in the neighbourhood.
I hate having nights like this... Simple rooms that don't value their price, just good for an "on-the-go" stop in a trip. Don't stay here more than a night and try your chance anywhere else. People are graceful but don't compensate you just went in a trap...
I spent one night here on my way back to Turin and probably was the worst night of the whole holidays. The hotel is an aged building that needs a urgent update, The light Was not running in the room and The furniture is really basic... ...in addition to that reception closes at 10pm and you have to remember codes to access to your room...
