I can't praise this stunning property enough. Not only do you have the history associated with it, but also a great renovation made more comfortable by being spacious and well heated by oil column heaters in the bedrooms and an atmospheric gas open fire in the lounge. There are some compromises in the kitchen to retain the original sink and...

We spent a long weekend here, looking to find somewhere away from phones, TV and partner up with a good red and book. This place ticked all our boxes. The accommodation was basic but comfortable. Our only company for the weekend were the seals three hundred metres away, with the cottage ghost deciding not to visit us. Lots of great...

Self catered fully equipped cottages. Very comfortable and well appointed. In the evening you are virtually alone in the Flinders Chase National Park, the wildlife are at your door or very close by and Admiral's Arch is a short walk were seals can be found. You are completely unreachable, there is an emergency phone, but other than that, no phone,...

My family and I stayed at Parndana cottage at Cape du Couedic for 5 nights for our first trip to Kangaroo Island. It is a fantastic heritage cottage that has great kitchen facilities, plenty of bedrooms, a new bathroom, a sitting room with heaps of games and a BBQ area outside. There are great walks to Admiral's Arch, Weir's Cove...

Wonderful place to stay so close to Admiral's Arch and the seals on the rocks. Beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped and the house is spacious. Highly recommend this charming place (Parndana Cottage) for those who want the experience, peace and quiet.

My wife and I stayed in the Pandana cottage. Whilst we were not expecting views (had enquired of this earlier) we were a little surprised at the basic standard of these cottages. They are not a place to hang around in and enjoy just being there. You of course need to get out and go for walks and such to...

This was the 2nd lighthouse Keepers cottage we stayed in whilst on the island & we recommend them without hesitation, they are maintained, cleaned & serviced at a very high level - not high luxury but more than very comfortable. Cottage was clean, comfortable & well equipped in the kitchen. New bathroom - really comfortable stay. We stayed at the...

Not the lap (nor price) of luxury (essentially quite basic) but spacious and fully equipped. This lighthouse keeper's cottage at Cap de Couedic is in a spectacular location perched above Admiral's Arch at the far end of Kangaroo Island. While we were a tad disappointed that the cottages themselves didn't have sea views, one had to walk only 10 metres...

These Lighthouse keepers cottages are great fun to live in - particularly if you like history! It is like stepping back in time. Plumbing and electricity all good - kitchen rustic but I loved it. The gas fire in the living room really helped - it was quite cold and very breezy when we stayed there. Would go back in...

We stayed in karatta lodge for 3 nights in late January 2015. The location was very close to nice bush walking tracks, the remarkables, admirals arch and the resident fur seal colony. This was fantastic. The cottage itself was very basic (1900s lighthouse keepers cottage) but fine. what surprised us however was the wind. It was relentless and made it...
