Our first visit here & it most certainly didn't disappoint. Roaring fire, cozy seating and fantastic food. We shared the baked Camembert & I even had a lovely warm gluten free roll. I had the corn fed chicken off the specials board, it was extremely tasty. My partner had the fish n chips which he really enjoyed too. Friendly service....

Chorizo and King Scallop salad, fish soup and children's burger, followed by whitebait main and Vietnamese Goat Curry. Wow all homemade, great fresh produce and lovingly put together. The scallop and the chorizo were delicious, the scallop was fresh and plump, not frozen and shrivelled!! Children's burger was good, a homemade patty, a little dry but perfect for children, I...

Dropped in at lunchtime after a long gentle walk from Theberton with the family . We had all worked up a healthy appetite and the Eels did not disappoint. Good selection of pub grub - we had parsnip and honey soup, turkey and bacon sandwiches and Welsh rabbit. Resisted the temptation to go for the Vietnamese goat curry but it...

First visit to The Eels foot we arrived before our walk and had a lovely lunch. Us two girls had the fish and chips and the boys had scampi and chips. The food was good not to big a portion so you didn't feel bloated. The boys enjoyed the Adnams ale 👍🏻👍🏻🍻🍻. The pub is dog friendly which is always...

I have not stayed but have spent many a happy lunch time here with food a cut above the average pub grub, excellent friendly service and although they do not take reservations have always found a space and been served promptly. I take my old Dad there and they could do with hand rails by the steps outside but without...

We stayed here one night mid week whilst walking around Minsmere. The staff were really friendly and helpful making us feel very welcome. The room was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom was a little tired looking but everything worked fine. It was so quiet and peaceful overnight. Our evening meal was very nice, whitebait to start which was...

Been a while since we'd been here. The Adnam's beer is still great, fine choice of great ales. The real surprise for us was the food. A good choice of really tasty meals, much better than your average "pub grub". We were all very impressed.

I visited as part of a group of ten recently. Food bookings not accepted but we 'phoned in advance to tell them that a large group would be visiting for a meal. We were told that it wouldn't be a problem and they were true to their word. Orders were taken, and served quickly and efficiently - a well run...

Great location. Wonderful outlook from room. Very clean and rooms warm and look good, loads of hot water. Breakfast served in bar, but fire not lit so a bit chilly. Plates always cold so food did not stay warm for long, spinach with most dishes, personally i didnt think food was very good and quite dear for specials that were...

We were on a Suffolk coastal walk and, as my friend recalled this historic pub from previous visits, we decided to stop here on a bitterly cold day to have a pint and some soup. The Eel is now part of the Adnam's pub chain and suitably polished. A nice variety of Adnams ales though no guest beers - which...
