Room was lovely. Large double bed. Large shower. Very clean. But heating seemed to be just an electric heater. But overall very nice place to stay. Lovely outside. But food was average. Little choice. Small portion for a pub meal. Not a great choice of beers. So wouldn't recommend it for a pub meal. This pub used to be so...

This delightful place seems to have had some poor reviews recently, which surprises me. Maybe they had a bad patch over the summer. I've been coming here for several years and my experience has always been excellent. What's not to like about it? It's in the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Beauty. It's an easy walk to the wonderful Buckland...

Stopped off here for a Sunday roast, what a mistake,£12.50 which is reasonable, except it was without doubt the worst roast I've ever had , microwaved beef watery tasteless gravy undercooked veg, stale coffee on top at £2.50 a cup.

the pub is in the final stages of refurbishment, but it retains the character of an old inn. the menu was not quite as extensive as we expected. that said - we were not disappointed with the choice available. we had 2 'whole hogs' between 3 and that good old pub standby - ham egg and chips. a slight criticism...

We had a very romantic overnight stay in this charming little village. We had the larger room which was very clean and comfortable. Great service. Excellent breakfast. The road down from Devon was stunning and beautiful and we were lucky with the weather. The roads were quite small which was ok as we were on a motorbike. Would definitely come...

I think we were expecting something a little better for the food. Very friendly though, set in the small village with a small village atmosphere. It was a bit grubby, frankly. The food was not outstanding, very run of the mill pub grub. Dog friendly.

Went with friends for an evening meal as we hadn't been for years. Staff were friendly but the service was very slow, took over an hour for our food to arrive & there were only a few people eating! Food quality was pretty average when it did arrive & I'm afraid we won't be going back.

After seeing the menu on Facebook my partner and I were looking forward to a delicious Sunday roast, however a sticky table first set the tone for our disappointing experience, the whole feel of the interior was very tired and in need of a face lift , the menu was not as varied or as appetising as advertised on line,...
