Having visited this pub last year and having had a less than enjoyable experience. Our recent re-visit was a total joy. What a change. Whilst the pub has retained all the wonderful olde worldy image it has certainly had a major uplift in quality of food drink cleanliness and the fixtures and fixings together with some lovely "touches" . Have...

Booked a table for 6pm on a Sunday. There were only us eating. The landlord was very friendly and accommodating. This is an old Dartmoor pub set in a delighted small village. My meal was average. The roast was way over cooked, probably left from lunchtime. The burgers were amazing. All in all a bit hit and miss. Will however...

We stayed there for one night and overall it was excellent. Decent pub grub..I had the homemade steak and ale pie and it was excellent. The room we stayed in was spacious and we had no complaints. It's very informal and relaxed and the breakfast was really good .

Visited here last Sunday and we arrived at 2:59pm they stopped serving Sunday lunch at 3 but they were still happy to serve us. They were very friendly and did not rush us at all. The food was by far the best Sunday roast i have had in many many years. My husband had the nut roast which was really...

We visited the Who'd have thought it Inn this Sunday lunchtime to celebrate my Nan's 92nd Birthday. Well what can I say, in 92 years she's never had a meal this bad! To start with the room we were sat in was freezing cold, Woodburner unlit and heating off. Upon asking we were told by the waitress that the manager...

My husband and I have just returned and taken over the Whod Have Thought It from a tenant, we ran it ourselves some years ago and are excited to be back. We were saddened to read your experience, especially on such an important day for you and your Nan. We hope you will decide to give the Whody one more...

This rural, 16th Century pub is full of character. Our room was very comfortable with a great shower, and dog friendly too. The food was superb, not too expensive, not too fussy. Some nice real ales and real ciders on. Great walking on the doorstep. Would recommend for a quiet break away.

Room was lovely. Large double bed. Large shower. Very clean. But heating seemed to be just an electric heater. But overall very nice place to stay. Lovely outside. But food was average. Little choice. Small portion for a pub meal. Not a great choice of beers. So wouldn't recommend it for a pub meal. This pub used to be so...

This delightful place seems to have had some poor reviews recently, which surprises me. Maybe they had a bad patch over the summer. I've been coming here for several years and my experience has always been excellent. What's not to like about it? It's in the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Beauty. It's an easy walk to the wonderful Buckland...

Stopped off here for a Sunday roast, what a mistake,£12.50 which is reasonable, except it was without doubt the worst roast I've ever had , microwaved beef watery tasteless gravy undercooked veg, stale coffee on top at £2.50 a cup.
