Simplicity, with some comfort, in an astonishingly beautiful location. Impredivel for those who are interested in contacting and exploring small environmental paradises, still relatively well preserved.
The staff was always very nice and helpful. The triple room was big and clean. The indor pool was good and big enough to swim. The outdor pool and the space around is also beautiful. The breakfast was good enough. Was not the one with more variety that we experienced but was enough variety to offer a good breakfast. The hotel restaurant is good and the buffet with two different hot options had a good diversity. I can consider that was a very pleasant stay to our family in this hotel. Another important note, is the great view that we have from the restaurant and breakfast rooms to Pateira lagoon. The only downside that I have to present is the fact that the hotel seems to need some preservation work.
The location of this hotel is idyllic. The lake provides a beautiful background. It is very quiet and peaceful. The hotel staff is friendly and efficient. The hotel is clean and comfortable but could use some modern touches: flat screen tvs, etc. The food at the restaurant is excellent.
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The people at the front desk were so helpful and really nice. I went with my family and we enjoyed the indoor pool and a great dinner. The views of the hotel are also one of the best part of this place.
We stayed 4 nights at the hotel in June, largely to use it as a base to travel to Aveiro and Coimbre as well as relax for a couple of days. It was easily located from Junction 15 of the main A1-IP1 highway. Prior to arrival i had contacted the hotel to query the room details and request a room in a quiet part of the hotel; our requests were accommodated. Upon arrival our first impression was that the hotel was looking quite 'tired' and in need of some 'updating'. However, that said, there was plenty of hot water, clean towels, a comfy bed, as well as daily attendance to make the bed/clean etc which we didn't expect. The staff were very helpful and polite - in particular both Ana's on reception and Jessica in the restaurant - thank you for your help and being attentive to our needs- especially Ana Salvador in providing us with great directions to Aveiro railway station and parking area. We ate at the restaurant 2 evenings and the food was very good. Breakfast was continental style with plenty available. There was free wifi in the room which was good. There were bicycles for guests to use and we used them to cycle around the village on a couple of occasions - you just need to check the tyres are pumped up! We used the indoor swimming pool on a couple of occasions and this was clean. However, when we wanted to use the outdoor pool the filters had not been running and there was quite a bit of dirt/insects in the pool which was a little off-putting. We had 3 quiet nights sleep but on the last night our sleep was disturbed as the hotel had a large group of students & staff (at least 80 people) staying over for a local football tournament in the village. Breakfast time the following day was not a good experience as everyone was trying to get breakfast. The staff again were great though in trying to ensure a constant supply of food for hungry appetites. We would definitely use the hotel again if travelling in the area and would recommend it to others.…
