The location of this resort is beautiful. It is located on the banks of river Rangeet. The place Baiguney is a calm place near Jorethang on the road to Pelling. It is not on great height so the summer is warm. The location of the resort made it very exclusive. However I had a few bad experiences there. First, I requested them that I need pick-up service. We stayed at the The Retreat by Zuri Baiguney, Sikkim just three months after they opened for business. The rooms, the property and the staff were all excellent. We stayed in both a deluxe room and later the suite. The deluxe room was more than adequate with a balcony overlooking the grounds, river and hills. We moved to the suite because we had been traveling for a month and wanted a little more space. The staff went out of their way to be helpful, including setting up a candlelight dinner for us by the pool one evening. The hotel has a great library with a collection of books about the history and natural history of Sikkim. The food was wonderful, from tuna fish sandwiches to curries and noodle dishes. Frest fruit and vegetables grown on site are included when
