Cannot recommend Gaiai strongly enough. It is not a health retreat, it is a healthy relaxation retreat in the most beautiful of settings. There is no knocking on the door at 5.30am with compulsory walks and other activities, just a gentle gong at 7.30 am if you'd like to do yoga. What a civilised hour. This is a place to...

This was my first getaway without my husband and or kids. A friend and I went for the weekend and enjoyed the scenic drive from Brisbane- 1hr 50min. On arrival staff was extremely warm and friendly. Our cabins were a few seconds walk from reception. The layana rooms are small but well appointed and clean. Perfect for one person, but...

5 nights was an indulgence and probably could have achieved the totally relaxed state in 4... this is a beautiful property in the hinterland of Byron/Lenox. The tranquil atmosphere coupled with a focus on health, well-being and relaxation allowed the stresses and noise of normal life to fade almost immediately. Accommodation is OK without - don't expect 5 star -...

A friend and I went for a weekend in a Layana 'delux' Villa. More 'cabin' like than 'villa', and in our case, attached to another 'cabin'. For the price, we did not feel this was 'deluxe' or suitable for 2 persons sharing. Very small, dark with only 1 chair. Really only suited for 1 occupant. What is described as a...

Had a lovely weekend. Very relaxing. We were only there for 2 nights and apparently the deal is that if you are only there 2 nights rather than 3 you are charged extra for airport transfers. Not sure about that for the same services!! Also food was really nice but would have preferred to have some sort of preference. When...

My wife and I spent 3 night's here prior to a beach house we stayed at in Southport. Very focused on females and actually felt somewhat uncomfortable there. Recommended for the wife or girlfriend when they want some alone time. Not for couples really.

Divine location, organic delicious food made with love and the perfect getaway sans kids for my husband and I, however sadly a little disappointing. Gaia was just what the doctor ordered in terms of a quiet getaway to destress for a couple of days and give us a chance to connect on our 15th Wedding Anniversary. I do love a...

Well i returned to my favourite spa as a day visitor this time and had a kahuna massage. It was sublime and reiterated the reason that i adore Gaia. The kahunais now my favourite treatment and Gaia excel. please try it out! The only small negative is that it isnt really set up for people that need to go elsewhere...

Mother daughter time . We stayed in a two bedroom suite and the accomodation was lovely . A bit too dimly lit for my old eyes but very calming and had a somewhat Balinese feel. The food was fantastic . Very Inventive , flavoursome and presented beautifully. Staff were great and very attentive. I felt the retreats activities could have...

I visited with my mum for the day for the day spa and stayed for lunch. From the moment you walk in to the retreat it is so serene that you feel like you need to whisper. Such a beautiful setting and design with real attention to detail. I had the detox package which was heavenly followed by a vegetarian...
