Enshrouded as it is in the rainforest of Kibale National Park, Primate Lodge is the perfect base for those wishing to meet the chimpanzee inhabitants of Kibale National Park. It's less than two minutes walk from the lodge to the starting point for chimpanzee trekking, and that alone is a huge selling point. The hits don't stop there though. Primate...

Primate Lodge Kibale is an excellent eco-lodge for a chimpanzee tracking safari in Uganda. With great service and an exciting mouthwatering collection of exotic and local dishes, you can't go wrong. My favourite place though is the heart of Kibale national park. Their service is a class apart and the deluxe tents perfectly blended in with the natural environment This...

What a nice lodge, right in the middle of the jungle. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. We can see monkeys from the porch of the tent. The staff is amazing, super helpful and nice. The food was super good. It has been my favourite lodge during my trip in Uganda.

We stayed here for two days on our tour of Uganda. We were given a lodge called Colobus, (all the lodges have names) Due to refurbishment, there are now very few tented lodges, and instead management are replacing them all. Our lodge was a good size and very 'african' with dark wood. Beds were reasonably comfy, but I personally found...

I think the setting and location of this lodge is pretty amazing! The tents and cottages are dotted in the forest and it is a stone's throw to the wildlife centre from where the chimp trekking takes place!! The staff are welcoming, the food is average and the main bar/lounge/dining room area are rather basic yet in keeping with an...

We came for the chimpanzees and our safari guide booked us in to the Primate Lodge. Excellent rooms (Large, well lit, modern). We had 2 nights here and had good food. Wine selection was limited but the beer was cold and the coffee hot. You can not beat the location with it being so closed to the Kibale park primate...

Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your comments about your stay with us. We do pride ourselves in the location of the lodge and consider ourselves very fortunate to be located next door to these majestic creatures - chimpanzees that inhabit this African rainforest. It is unfortunate that you got stomach complications during your stay and we do hope you...

You can't come to Uganda and not chimp trek and if you do this is the place to stay. The food was excellent. The forest walks resulted in multiple monkey sightings and the whole staff were super friendly. Particularly enjoyed relaxing around the fire of an evening.

We just returned from a wonderful trip to Uganda that included 2 night stay at the Primate Lodge (March 5 and 6, 2015). The Lodge is a wonderful tented facility within a 2 minute walk to the chimpanzee trekking station in Kibale forest.. The rooms are large, private and spaced well away from each other. The location and delicious food...

I've stayed at Primate Lodge Kibale during two separate trips to Uganda (2009 and 2013), and it has lived up to its name both times. It is the ultimate place to stay if you want an immersive, yet accessible rain forest experience complete with many primate sightings. Most recently we saw a fleeting glimpse of a chimpanzee cross the road,...

Experience the world renowned Ugandan hospitality amidst unrivaled nature, scenery and serenity in the heart of Kibale rainforest National Park, Uganda’s primates’ paradise; Primate Lodge Kibale’s principal edge is our location, right next to the starting point for Chimpanzee Tracking excursion as well as the incredible Chimpanzee Habituation experience, really, two of the most genuinely breathtaking wildlife experiences on the planet. Primate Lodge Kibale Offers a range of options to accommodate all our guests. Our most recent addition, the brand new 9 luxury cottages of a superior design are bound to blow your heart away. Far more spacious and airy, with luxurious bathrooms, really huge glass windows and full size glass paneled sliding doors- they let in a lot of natural light and affording 180 degree views of the beautiful rainforest surroundings from your bed. Our seven mid-level forest cottages are en-suite with spacious bathrooms, 2x twin size beds or 1x king size bed, lounge chairs and a spacious verandah overlooking the rainforest. For our adventurous guests, we offer a secluded Sky Tree House (not self-contained) about 200m deep in the forest. Elevated about 18-feet above ground and overlooking a meadow, it enjoys excellent views over the forest canopy and is regularly visited by black and white colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys, blue monkeys, forest elephants, even chimpanzee sometimes. ... more   less
