This hotel's strong points are its restaurant and the hospitality of its staff. However, the accommodation is average and generally the hotel is in need of quite significant investment and greater attention to detail. The rooms were clean, but the shower was broken for example and overall it's quite run down in places. It wasn't worth the £100+ per night...

The building has character but needs a lot of TLC. Room was small and clean however the bed was a disgrace. It squeaked, was sloping and so uncomfortable that it prevented any sleep being possible at all. Upon telling reception we were told "Oh really, what room? I would not know if they are comfortable I do not sleep in...

Well where do I start....the building could be beautiful, if it had a lot of money spent on it! It is run down and dirty. Me and a friend booked a deal for a spa treatment (manicure) and a 2 course lunch deal. On arrival it took a while for the reception to turn around and greet us so not...

We booked a dinner, bed, breakfast and massage. Massages had not been booked. Suite was cold, floors we stained and clearly hadn't been hoovered, sofa was dirty and full of Staines. Sufficed to say we checked out again in 5 minutes.

We stayed overnight in one of the Granges smaller rooms. Overall, The Grange was slightly tired looking, the room we stayed in was comfortable and as described although the bathroom was pleasantly larger than we were expecting from the website. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We would definitely book again at the price we...

A truly lovely historic building. Polite, helpful staff. Food was fantastic! We went there for some peace and we found it! Anita in particular was so very kind. Will definitely go back. No lift and I had an injury which qwas a little awkward. They could perhaps consider a stair lift at some point. Would have been nice if a...

After needing to make a formal complaint, the manager has refused to supply me with a copy of their complaints procedure for 13 days and has been verbally abusive. He has refused to give me his name and has gone as far as to ask sarcastically 'if I need him to hold my hand and read their terms and conditions...

What a truly disappointing stay... Reception were reasonably cheerful... But everywhere else was tired. The staff were a misery. The room {2} door needed painting. There was mould on the ceilings to bedroom & bathroom & the towel rail was brown with rust. The food was utterly abysmal. The first night I sent it back. (slow braised belly pork... So...

Staid here a few times over the past couple of years visiting family. Always friendly staff. Good breakfast. Rooms are clean & comfortable albeit a little on the small side sometimes. Staff little thin on the ground at times with speciality of multi tasking which I find makes a pleasant interaction. Parking is free & plentiful on the grounds. £10...

Booked a standard double room for one night for a wedding. Before getting on with the review I must firstly make a point to say that we were able to select 12pm as a check in time on the website when booking and there was no indication that this would cost us extra, however upon arrival we were informed we...
