My stay was excellent. Was met with nothing but kindness and true hospitality. Location is excellent and quiet. Breakfast was awesome, great selection and service. Definitely would recommend. Must have driven past this gem so many times. Glad I found it now

No body on reception on arrival, left outside waiting. Restaurant closed when advertised open. Room, inadequate. Breakfast very poor quality with curdled milk. No customer service whatsoever. Dire! Do not waste your money.

Was there for a wedding, couldn't recommend the place enough. The staff were very accommodating and polite. Grub was good and drinks choice was good, there was a slight issue with the card machine but majority of the guests took cash with them anyway. 5/5 from me. Thank you all.

This is one hotel that is in desperate need of Alex Polizzi ! Sad to say but the place is in reckless hands no consideration to guests. We arrived and was kept waiting in reception then the fee as taken imedietly which haven stayed in several hotels have never been asked for ! Now I know why!! The hall stairs need a complete overhaul threadbare is a understatement. Then the room . Well at best a single never double. Just apparently been decorated by whom I would ask a 5 year old maybe paint on everything door handles not taken off when painted. Some strange pipe wouldn't like to say what goes through it . Windows that have double glazing that was fitted in the 70's cobwebs all over them inside and out . Wardrobe that had paper peeling off and a blanket thrown into the corner . Now I know we are in a pandemic but have stayed in other hostels and tea and coffee are on offer but not in a plastic bag and cardboard cups . The garden needs Alan Titchmarsh overgrown and weeds everywhere and what should be a lovely feature at the end of the garden well in ruins. Upon approaching the staff the overall opinion was don't like it we'll leave !! This place should be beautiful but has been left to fall into a discraceful condition with staff that frankly can't do anything.. Overall I would advise anyone from changing their minds in booking this hotel and find an alternative you have been warned !!

Normally I would not write a review but feel I should to stop others being as disappointed I was with my stay at the hotel The staff were lovely. However the hotel is out of date and tired. The web site gives an impression of a well cared for and loved country hotel - this is certainly not the case. Our room was tired, with dubious furniture and a bathroom which do not function properly

Room Tip: Make sure all the facilities are working. It is quite a climb to the top floor room so be wary...
