We weren’t expecting a 5 star place, but I would say Motel des Cedres exceeded our expectations. Nice combination of updates and old world charm. Room was not huge, but nicely refreshed with new paint, comfortable beds and lovely sheets. Bathroom was updated with a new shower and bathtub. Plenty of hot water, and a little coffee maker fully stocked for the morning. Overall we enjoyed our two night stay and would stay here again.

We booked this motel through Expedia about a week before our arrival date. The photos showed a nice, modern room. When we arrived the lady told us that the room wasn't exactly as in the photos - it didn't have a bath, just a shower. Lack of a bath wasn't a huge deal, but I asked why the change? She said that "our room had already been booked". I'm not sure how that happens, but her English wasn't strong and I don't speak French, so I didn't get into it further, and she offered to knock $15 off the price. To her credit, she did try to call my cell a couple of hours before we arrived to let us know of the change, but she didn't leave a voicemail. Anyway, our room was extremely dated and tired with peeling wallpaper and the tiniest bathroom that I have ever seen - just a closet really. It was clean at least. I should have immediately demanded a refund and gone elsewhere, but we didn't. The room definitely wasn't worth what we paid for it, even with the $15 reduction. The motel itself is attractive from the outside, and the gardens and pool area are lovely. The property is located in an unappealing area on a main road into Sherbrook, but you don't really notice that once you are off the road.…

We did enjoy the nice pool and chair. We did order lunch by the pool. BBQ are availabke. They are working hard to maintain all plants and garden. Looks great. Only about 15 minutes from Magog Good quality fir the price! Not so fency but very well maintain and very clean

Was looking for a last minute location to spend the night. Saw this online and took a chance. So glad we did! Rooms were smaller but laid out nicely, very clean and smelled great. Check in was quick and easy. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in Motel des Cedres for three days and we absolutely enjoyed our time there. Clean and newly renovated rooms, beautiful pool and garden, quiet atmosphere. The pool is situated at the middle of the property surrounded by flowers and trees which makes it private. There is also Barbecue around the pool! (It's better to make reservation on their website...they have promotion and special prices from time to time compare to other sites like booking...)

I'm not a fan of roadside motels, but this one was a great exception. It was well maintained, nicely landscaped and very comfortable. The room was small, but organized in such a way that it wasn't a problem. The bathroom was large and had lots of room for two people. The bedroom ceiling was vaulted, so it made the room seem more spacious. Everything was super clean and the beds were comfortable. It was far enough from the road to avoid traffic noise. One of the best things about this property was the helpful and friendly owners. They went out of their way to make sure we had directions and information. This is a great place to stay in Sherbrooke.

The motel was very comfortable and quiet. It is an excellent place to stay! I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Sherbrooke or passing through. It had everything we needed. We would definitely go back.

This was just a one night stay on our way to Québec City. We really enjoyed our stay! We found the room to be very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the water was perfect temperature for a shower! The host was quite pleasant and friendly and spoke English too! The wood laminate flooring in the room was a nice touch and helped to promote the "clean" feel of the place. There were many restaurants within a short drive and it was easy to access the highway. It's also close to many shopping areas, gas stations, etc so your needs can be met. Overall a very pleasant, albeit short, stay! We would definitely recommend to a friend or stay again should the opportunity arise!

This motel was very clean and super cute. We would go back without hesitation. We recommend it if you are in the area this is the place you want to go. The owner are very nice as well. It is well situated near a lot of restaurant.

Returned to Motel des Cedres for the May 2017 Spartan Races at Owl's Head. As we'd had a good experience at the hotel in 2016, it made sense to book again. Unfortunately, it appears that there has been a change of ownership, and the entire complex seemed just a bit more run-down: the pool area was slightly overgrown and the pool itself was filthy; the rooms were colder and a bit worn; housekeeping seemed very lack-lustre and not at all thorough, etc., etc. While there was WIFI, the signal strength was minimal, and we saw little, if any of the proprietors following check-in. It is unlikely that we'll return next year.
