Made a stop here as it was right off the highway, with parking in front and an extra large lot just off the side street. Easy to find and the rates were very good. Check in was very smooth and the staff was very friendly. The room was very large, and I mean large, tons of space in the bathroom too. The room though is a little rough, its well used and could use some updating. The room was clean however and the bed was ok. If I were to review this hotel just based on the room, for the price it was average. But.. it came with a breakfast voucher for the restaurant next door. This is where this hotel becomes a great deal and outshines others in this price range. The breakfast includes, 2 eggs, choice of meat, choice of potato, toast and beverage (I'm guessing that this includes free coffee too... I don't drink coffee but they set a pot on the table upon my arrival). The restaurant itself is quite nice and their service is very good. They didn't skimp on the portion size either. I'll review the restaurant as well, see EggsFruit too. Also the Galaxy Cinema is a short walk away if you're looking for some entertainment. Overall for the price this is a good place to stay.…
Booked via Choice for 121$ per night for 2 nights. Was supposed to stay at a highly rated B&B but given an incident that occurred if front of the B&B, there was no power and I had to resort to a plan B, which was this hotel. Located on the busy King St Ouest, a very commercial boulevard with strip malls in the Rock Forest area, this may seem like not a very good location, but for a cyclist its perfect. Down the road to the river is an entrance to the extensive bike path which goes along the beautiful Magog river. The hotel is typical Quality Inn, small lobby, and I was provided a room on the first floor, close to the entrance. The room was big, well appointed, with a queen bed, comfy chair, LCD TV with cable box (made it easy to connect Roku), good WIFI, fridge, microwave, clean bathroom, no carpet (rather a soft tiling). No gyms noted, but there is an outside pool closed for the season. Best surprise was breakfast, which was a voucher to the EggsFruit restaurant on premise for coffee, 2 eggs, toasts, meat, potatoes and toasts...excellent ! Plenty of parking and dining options around, as well as Cinema close by . Would come back!…
I have been in a lot of quality inn and suites for business and pleasure. This has to be the one that is in WORST condition. When you enter the lobby, the counter has missing chips of wood. When you enter your room, the draperies were torn in some places. The sofa looked like it dated from 20 years ago. As for the bed, you sink in. Our room was quiet though. As for the breakfast, they do include 3 different choices at the restaurant that is connected to the hotel. Even the restaurant needs a LOT of love. All in all, I do not recommend this hotel unless you have no other option than to stay there. We paid 100$ for the night, but it felt like a 30$ night.
Went with the family and had a king sized bed and pullout couch room. The kiddos were on the couch and it was super comfortable! The room was a good size and the breakfasts (which were included) were excellent! The service was great, everyone was friendly. The only let down was that the pool was closed for the duration of our stay. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone, especially if you are on a family budget.
Nice place. Arrive was told because of the pandemic, no rooms would be done (daily) no problem.Following morning got some bags at the desk, put garbage in one, dirty towels in another left them in the hall, made the beds. In the morning we received ticket for a nice hot breakfast at the restaurant attached to the hotel. Had 3 different choices. Had 24 hour coffee at desk, microwave and fridge in rooms. Outdoor pool. Very nice young lady as the life guard.Clean and friendly service. The gentleman at the desk in the morning and afternoon twice made fresh coffee for us. We were there for 2 nights would have like to stay for more.
This property is older and has had some updating. It has no elevator so be prepared for stairs. The room was large with vinyl floor that felt a bit sandy. Bed was comfortable. Pillows not so much. Old style heater was very noisy at night. Towels could be bigger.
Well renovated and clean room. Michael at the reception was welcoming. Room had a balcony and the window can be open. No carpet fridge in the room with coffee maker. Caught in the room was confortable and the room was spacious.
Nice hotel, priced well, good staff. Clean and quiet. Several restaurants available within walking distance. Difficult to get into hotel because of the construction and closed lanes in front of the hotel. A full hot breakfast was included at the restaurant next door. Construction on the road started early
Wish there was a choice for 'Good' because I hesitated giving it a 'Very Good' rating. This hotel is being renovated so I can give the management some slack on some of it's deficiencies. The first room we were assigned was dated had a smokey smell but the front desk person was kind to give us a larger room for the same price. The new room was also a bit dated with wall paper coming off some of the walls and wrinkles in the carpet but it was quite large with a comfortable bed. A good breakfast was included in the price. The best part of our stay there was being greeted by the morning front desk person (Catherine) with such warmth and exuberance. Would suggest to the management to forgo the installation of odour suppressing units in the hallways of the hotel. Not really a great smell when you walk the hallways. Also very nice housekeeping staff.…
We drove in from Bar Harbour, Maine, and directly to our hotel. We arrived about 5 pm, but unfortunately our room was not ready until 7 pm. We were exhausted, but went for dinner and the time went quickly. When we got back, we still had to wait a few minutes, and then perhaps because of a slight language barrier, we sat and waited in the lobby even after our room was ready. No one let us know for sure that we could go up. When questioned, the desk staff said 'I told you it would be ready at 7' Nevermind that he had stood and talked to another staff member, right beside us, so could not have missed us sitting there. ANYWAY, once we got to our room, it was wonderful. I booked a month prior, and the hotel had been full, except for a suite. It was worth the extra money because it was very spacious and had a balcony. The view wasn't spectacular, but it was still nice to sit outside for a few minutes, after a long day in the vehicle. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable.…
