We were last in Quebec six years ago and stayed here. I believe the place is better because all (or almost all) of the rooms now have private bathrooms. The breakfast is still great, served around a large table where you can chat with the other guests, who always seem to be interesting. The location within the walls is very...

We adored this lovely and historic home, the chirping of birds and the clip-clop of carriage horses out our windows, and the warm welcome from our host. A peaceful and serene respite from the busy streets nearby. And the French toast is to die for! Thank you Guitta: we hope to visit again someday!

We once again relied on Trip Advisor in the selection of a B&B and once again we were rewarded with an excellent experience. You can't beat the location of the Maison - it really is in the heart of the city and within easy walking distance of the major attractions, restaurants, and shopping. The rooms are cozy and nicely decorated....

My friend and I stayed in the room on the second floor. The decor was charming and eclectic. Guita is an artist and the place has been decorated beautifully throughout with her artistic talent. Both her daughters help with the breakfasts and greeting the guests. They are all very knowledgeable and friendly. A very welcome place to stay. The location...

Stayed at this B&B last night with another couple. We had a room on the main floor and another on the second floor. Both rooms were very well appointed with comfortable beds and private bathrooms. The furnishings in the home are beautiful antiques and the service by Guita is impeccable. She is also a great source of information and advice....

My wife and I wanted to experience French Canada and decided on Quebec City and Montreal. We flew from Chicago to Montreal, rented a car and drove to Quebec City in about 3 hours. We stayed at the Maison Historique James Thompson because it was in the old city, we love B&Bs and it had great reviews. We were very...

The home was absolutely breath taking. From it's historical features, to the decor and even how the table was set every morning. Guitta is the sweetest lady and very welcoming. She knows all the best spots in Quebec City from shopping to dining. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room cozy. The location is perfect as you are right...

We just returned from a lovely visit. Guitta is an amazing hostess -- not just wonderful breakfasts every day (warm pastries, choice of crepes, French toast, or omelette, and cold cereals available, too), immaculate and homey house; but from the minute we walked in, I felt like I'd made a friend. Guitta really goes out of her way to make...
