Being known around the world we found the "Gîte du fleuve"one of the great place you could find tranquility and intimacy. Danielle and Maurice, the owners, have no reasons to envy any pretentious 5 stars hotels. G. Clooney

Great room in a beautiful district close to Vieux Quebec (15 min walking or bus n 1). Very clean and confortable. The breakfast is delicious and there is a room for the guests where you can find always coffee and tea such as water. Danielle is very nice and helpful, she gave us lot of information. I suggest this beautiful...

When my other choice of accommodation was forced to cancel my reservation I was referred to Danielle and Maurice. I was hesitant because I had been so excited about my prior choice. It turned out to be a wonderful experience for my first visit to Quebec City. The Bed and Breakfast is about a 20 minute walk to the lower...

A nice couple Danielle and Maurice are the owners of that fantastic place. Bedrooms with private bathroom. They served us with an american breakfast all included in the price. Once again they are very friendly and I will stay again, eachtime we go to Quebec city. Merci Danielle et merci Maurice!

Maurice and Danielle made our stay so terrific we decided to book another night after our trip North. They were so warm and welcoming we felt like we were staying with family. Their home was super clean and had everything we might need.....parking,AC, fridge and toiletries. They even took the time to drive us to several destinations in the city....

I can't say enough about how warm and welcoming the owners Danielle and Maurice are. We stayed a week for the Festival d'ete so it was extremely busy in the city. The concerts were just a walk away (up those 400 stairs) on the Plains of Abraham so we got our exercise. They made several suggestions for day trips that...

What great memories we actually keep this summer festival in 2015 in Quebec City. The quality and conviviality of the guests we have had and you were part of was just magical! Delicious moments and memories. Thank you very much for taking the time to write this review after your nice stay with us. Great regards.

This place suited us wonderfully. It enabled us to park our car and walk into Quebec City. Maurice and Danielle were very helpful in directing us to places to visit and eat. It's a good 15 minute walk to the lower part of the city but it's a flat walk. Room was compact and a bit tight for our large...

The pluses are the free nice breakfasts and free parking plus hosts who really make you feel at home. I have only rated this average ( which isn't bad!) as the room we were in had such slopped ceilings that my husband hit his head constantly in the bathroom, and the shower is tiny. The very busy/noisy boulevard is between...

This nice older home is run by two very friendly and knowledgeable hosts, Danielle and Maurice. Their home is small but comfortable and is located right along the St. Lawrence River. We stayed 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the 15 minute walk to old Quebec each day. The rooms are in the upper dormers so part of the room is...

This was our first trip to Quebec city. And the hosts are wonderfully likeable and friendly, with helpful tips on places to visit (or avoid). Helps to be able to speak French, but English speakers should not feel comfortable too. And the rooms, while small, had everything that was needed - including absolutely silent air conditioning, and a shower in...
