Reviews on this site led us to this small hotel, and we were not disappointed. Madame and Monsieur Demers are aging but are still running this place, and very eager to please. However, their son definitely has not inherited the hospitality trait, and before reserving I suggest people make sure the hotel management has not been passed on to him.... More

For the first time, TripAdvisor has let us down. My wife and I were very excited to be staying at Maison Demers based on the previous reviews. I agree that Mme Demers is pleasant to meet. (She and M. Demers were celebrating their 42nd wedding anniversary at the time.) And the location is good. But that's as far as I... More

The location: great, right in the old city. I've been coming up to quebec for the snowmobiling for the last 16 years. If room a room is... More

Old building, French-speaking hosts, great view from the balcony, cheap, quiet, comfortable ... the perfect B&B in Quebec City (Obviously, I'm talking about the old city. Who'd ever want to stay in the new part?) Honestly, I loved the old-ish couple who run this place. They were very nice... More

Quite a unique hotel. Do stay here if you want a wonderful flavor of old Quebec. The couple who owns the hotel are a delight. The rooms have so much character it is indescribable. I have stayed there 3 times and I would not choose another bed and breakfast. Do not stay here if you are looking for the comforts... More
