I really don't like to complain. But this place was remarkable. Firstly, no linen or towel service. If you want new sheets or towels, you have to take them to the front desk. A 20 per day parking charge that no one mentioned to me upon check in. how nice!! And then no parking spots available for me in their...

Thank you for your comment. I am sorry to hear about your experience. The Candlewood Suites is an extended stay hotel and provide weekly housekeeping, which is why the towels have to be exchanged upon request. The Candlewood experience values privacy and the concept is green-oriented. In terms of renovations and parking, your remark is extremely constructive and will help...

I stayed in the hotel for couple of days in November and it was very disappointing, the rooms furniture was very very old and the amenities are in bad shape and the service was extremly bad and receptionist was rude.

This hotel is situated in a great downtown location with close access to metro, buses and taxis. The staff is friendly and efficient. It's not luxury by any means but the apts are huge and spacious. Could it use an upgrade yes, but it's clean. There's an underground parking lot with direct access to your hotel room floor, and i...

The Candlewood staff is friendly and service oriented. My wishes for a high floor room away from street, vending and elevator were accommodated. The room was clean, well furnished, large flat screen TV and DVD player, full kitchen. As mentioned in other reviews, I can confirm that noise (and thin walls) is a real issue. Boisterous hotel guests two suites...

If you are looking for a traditional suite hotel room i.e. bedroom and separate sitting area then this is not for you unless you book a 2 room suite. Our "suite" consisted of a room with 2 beds, a recliner, a small round side table, a desk and chair, a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom. Fortunately there was only...

Kitchen facilities were appreciated - they have regular sizes fridge, stove, microwave oven and dishwasher (with soap included). Cutlery, plates, cups - all you need to cook and...

Some cities in Canada (probably most of them) are really expensive, and Montreal is definitely one of them. This hotel came in handy when traveling with my family. The room had a small kitchen which helped us have quick meals, cheaper than eating out everyday. Free laundry was really helpful at the middle of my trip, just need to buy...

Dear customer, I am really sorry to hear about your experience. Being a long term stay hotel has its inconveniences. People cooking affect all the customers in terms of smells. If you're looking at this place, then you must be searching for a budget, roomy, downtown place to stay. The place looks like an apartment converted into hotel rooms. Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
