Hotel is in a very good spot for getting around. Close to shops and the metro. Rooms are comfortable. Loved the picnic basket breakfast. Staff is friendly. Price was very good for value received. Close to St Hubert restaurant - bonus!

An old-fashioned hotel with attentive and friendly staff from the reception to housekeeping. Quiet small hotel within walking distance of the heart of the city. Nice breakfast delivered in a basket. Good wifi.

There were no cookies. The cookies are a lie. Nice place otherwise. Breakfast basket included pastries, yogurt, jam, butter, juice, and a tiny little orange. Other breakfast items to be found in the kitchen. Peace.

Stayed here for three nights in September. The hotel is conveniently located a couple of minutes walk away from Berri-Uqam subway station which is a main subway connection point. The airport bus also departs very close to the hotel as well. There are plenty of places to eat and drink in the surrounding area but the area itself is not... More

Very friendly staff, like the breakfast delivered to the room and the snacks /tea in the afternoon. It's a great location and although our room was small, it had everything that it needed. Like other reviews have said, it was a charming little place.

The location could work well for your visit, and the hotel is right by a metro and an airport bus stop. Decor is reasonably interesting. But the hotel is jammed so tight into its building there's barely room for a front desk and some rooms are awkward spaces. Room 306, for example, fits a desk and clothes rack into the... More

Right across the street from the subway, a convenience store and a police station so convenient and safe! Terrific bed, spacious room with high ceilings and a window to open for fresh air, helpful staff and wonderful baking in the included breakfast basket delivered to my room each morning. Nice bathroom - only issue was that the Hot Water took... More

We spent four nights at Le Pomerol, Everything about it was very convnient - close to a Metro stop, close to St. Catherine St, close to lots of cafes and restaurants. The breakfast delivered to our door every morning was generous - my husband was very pleased! The staff was always helpful. One thing we also liked was that it... More

This conveniently located hotel is truly a gem near Old Montreal. The concierges were friendly and knowledgeable. Our room was on the first floor which is actually underground with no window. However, the room had a large accent light and gave the feeling of a having a window. Overall, the hotel was modern and comfortable. The hotel is located near... More

Staying in The Village (Gay Village)

Neighbourhood Profile
The Village (Gay Village)
The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomised by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.
