The Pomerol is the kind of hotel that would disrupt the AirBnB industry: fair prices, excellent location and top notch services.
The rooms are all very basic - it's absolutely NOT a five star hotel - but offer everything you need when exploring the city....More

Recently stay at the Auberge Le Pomerol back in July 2017 during the Just for Laughs festival.
We stayed here because it was very close to the comdey venue and the price was good for that time of year, especially during JFL.

This hotel is in a very good location as it was close to a Metro line, restaurants, and shopping. The room was clean and the staff were pleasant. The only downside is the configuration of the room. There was a huge soaker tub and a...More
The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party
spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomised by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.

When I stayed there 2 years ago, they did not.
The easiest thing to do is take the 747 bus from Trudeau and get off at Place Emilie-Gamelin, aka the park situated above the Berri-UQAM metro stop. The bus drops off at street side a diagonal away from the hotel.
When I was there, I got turned around and started walking toward the river. Don't do that! Walk slightly up hill, and you will be headed toward the library. The big street is at the corner is Masisonneuve. Turn right and you'll find the hotel on the 2nd block on the other side of the street.
