Great hotel in the centre of town. There is a bar and the hotel has an interesting vibe and theme. It is close to shops and restaurants. Our room was huge with high ceilings and a good bathroom. There is a big tv and a awesome soft but comfy bed. The pillows are also not too soft. They also have...

Arrived at LHotel several hours prior to check in and they gave us our room early. The front desk staff was VERY accomodating and helpful as were all bellmen. Our room was a large room with offset placement of beds which afforded extra privacy. The bath was modern and had enough room for toiletries. Loved the Robert Indiana sculpture! Art...

A friend and I stayed at LHotel this past weekend and found it had a great location in Old Montreal - just steps from Notre Dame but a bit out of the way so it was incredibly quiet. We booked the room on one of the hotel booking sites, and it was one of the few that seemed to offer...

Let's start with the bad. There was only one issue but I found it to be very serious so it gets one star. Had the issue been resolved, I definitely would have given 5 stars. We checked into room 409 on June 27th for our anniversary vacation, when we got to the room, it was unlocked but we figured that...

My husband and I went to Montreal for our babymoon and enjoyed the hotel very much. Staff is friendly. It's a smaller feel. The rooms have high ceilings which makes it feel nice and spacey. Great hotel bar. Continental breakfast is average. Nice location in old Montreal.

L’Hotel provided delightful décor inside and out. We enjoyed the cheeriness of the art works throughout. Their comfortable lobby invites repose. The friendly, attentive, and helpful staff made an effort to respond to all of our questions. We had a 1st floor room where we wished to be able to float, as the ceiling was so high. The floor space...

My wife likes unique, boutique type hotels. She finds them more interesting and memorable. LHotel is one of the loveliest we have been to. The art pieces start outside at the entrance, continues with many interesting pieces in the lobby, in the rooms and even down the hallways. How many hotels have you been to, that you just have to...

Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighbourhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic centre of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its centre, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theatre.
