My review will summarize most important points one expects arriving to a hotel first time. But before that, I need to mention that the stuff was on strike and management was replacing regular service, doing it very well! 1. Check in and valet service: both excellent. 2. Room: while the bathroom could have been cleaner, the room including the bed...

Great Hotel in a good location. My friends and I decided to go to Canada for the 1st time on a leisure vacation, although this hotel seems to be more suited for business patrons. When you arrive at the front lobby you have to take an elevator to the 10th floor to get to the reception desk, something I thought...

Took train to Montreal for shopping and Blue Jay's spring training vs Red Sox. Got a good rate and very convinient being right next to train station, subway line and the underground. The elevator up to check in and rooms can be slow. Hotel was undergoing renovations but didn't interfere with stay. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable.

While I could not get to make a reservation even through the hotel's website, I managed to do it through one of Tripadvisor's recommended sites. And everything worked exactly as I had planned! I actually checked in a day earlier, and they not only got me a room, but also managed to let me in the same room throughout all...

Funky, architecturally-designed, penthouse hotel close to all the action in Montreal. The hotel has a 60s/ 70s architectural vibe that is still somehow modern and retro at the same time. Lovely rooftop gardens with many rooms having a green view. Entry to reception is via elevator. This hotel is above a convention centre and connects directly to the underground city...

A very expensive camera was left in our room when we departed. We know exactly where it was in the room. When we called the staff would not help us at all. They kept telling us to call back when a different manager was working. How many managers are there?? Since we locked our room when we left to check...

We stayed at this hotel last week for a conference. It is extremely well located downtown, with train station and access to the underground shopping area across the street but accessible without going outside. There was a hotel workers' strike when we were there, so we were apprehensive about how well the hotel would operate, especially with a large conference...

Stayed here 4 nights as part of a large conference. Older style hotel but clean with excellent service. Although some workers are locked-out (strike), you can really not tell except for restaurant food not being available for lunch and dinner. Plenty of other restaurants around and directly connected to underground path.

Stayed there for 5 days for the business meeting right at the hotel. Hotel is located on top of the Bonaventure transportation center, however, after you take a ride up the elevator from the ground, when you are looking outside you have a full impression of simply been on the ground, as it features trees and shrubs anywhere you look,...

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
