As you can see from the pictures I've included, it's a nice hotel. Well insulated, so despite being at full capacity due to various conferences in town that week, I couldn't hear anything in the hallway nor the adjoining rooms. The only thing I would suggest is that the hotel lowers the temperature in the hallway, it was blistering hot...

I booked two rooms using Airmiles. Each room had a queen bed with a TV, a desk, a sofa chair with ottoman, a coffee maker, and best of all, a large bathroom. The heater was loud in one room but not in the other. What was missing was a bar fridge and microwave oven but we were fine without them...

I will start with the room....large and clean with comfortable beds. There was a small Keurig in the bathroom which is kind of gross considering the airborne germs floating around every time you flush the toilet, and they are pretty skimpy in their towel supply.... only three towels per room, even if you have four people. Their is no fridge...

Opressive heat in the hallways, almost unbearable. Our group had 25 rooms over 3 days for a total of $12000.00 spent. In order to not disturb other guests we went to sit in the lobby at 9:00 pm to watch the large screen television. The couch only fit 6 and there were two close chairs. We moved 2 more closer so...

Near Old Montreal. Walk to Notre Dame. Swimming pool. Restaurant is Chinese, but hotel is in walking distance of Rue Saint Paul which has good restaurants. Room has small area with desk which is separate from sleeping area. Nice room with comfortable beds.

This was purely a business trip stay. Although I am a local and often drove by this hotel many of the people who were with me were from the USA, Europe and western Canada and the location was rather special for them. This hotel is located right across the street from the Palais de Congress de Montreal (Montreal Convention Center)....

This was our 2nd time staying in Montreal - the last time was at the Hyatt Regency. The two hotels are comparable overall and fairly close to each other. Finding the Holiday Inn wasn't too difficult but finding the parking lot was an issue. It's on a one way street which makes access tough. There is very little signage to...

Dear woodbridge_fc, Thank you for your comment. I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay! I do apologize for the one way street which make more difficult to find the parking entrance; we always suggest to use 999 St-Urbain street with the GPS to make sure to arrive on the right street for the entrance. We are looking forward to...

Was there for one night and i thought that the hotel would care of their rooms. Long hair in bed and no heat (realized that during the night). That was what ive seen with naked eyes ! Was to tired to bother to call them .

My husband and I stopped at this hotel for just one night. This hotel is situated right in Chinatown and has an Asian theme which we liked. The check in was great. A young gentleman by the name of Anthony (?) was very friendly and helpful. Our room was nothing modern or fancy but we didn't expect that. It was...

This hotel is across the street from Palais de Congres(Montreal convention centre). Also Metro station. The hotel is fine really except for two points. One- the gym is too small with only one treadmill and elliptical. I tried to workout but it was always full. For the size of the hotel, it is inadequate. The other minor but annoying point...

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Bakeries, markets, restaurants, and buffets crowd the brightly graffitied streets of Chinatown, the city's aromatic destination for pan-Asian cuisine. Distinguished at its entry points by towering vermillion paifang gates, the compact neighbourhood acts as a focal point for the Chinese community, hectic with educational facilities, cultural centres, acupuncturists, and foreign-language newspapers. Especially vibrant in the warmer months, when the sweet smell of dragon beard candy along the pedestrian walks of Rue de la Gauchetière signal the beginning of the outdoor street fair season, Chinatown is a treasure hunter's dream, with enough knickknack and curiosity shops to tempt even the pickiest shoppers. The convivial vibe picks up after dark, when the area's active nightlife offers evening crowds their choice of drink, dance, and midnight snacks of pho or oysters. Chinatown's mix of new and old, with herbal remedies being sold alongside pop-culture DVDs, gives the area its own animated brand of moxie.
