My mentality is always lower your standards with rooms like this but this is a stretch. The room has a certain smell, the shower is way to small and I would never sit on that couch (I.e. certain stains). That being said, staff was very accommodating, it's not that far from the city center and the price was not too...

Stayed there a few times nothing wrong with it, great location, great price. Don't expect a five star hotel but good spot to stay. Don't listen to some of the reviews you get what you pay for but I would go back anytime!

Admittedly I should have looked at more reviews before booking but I was disappointed on arrival. The staff was very nice and helpful but the place itself is a bit rundown for the price. My room was a third story walk up which didn't bother me. The door was a bit flimsy and I had difficulty telling if it was...

the room was quiet and the 2 double beds were ok, but the bathroom was tiny with only a shower and toilet, plus it smelled very musty. the sink was out near the TV. we paid $200 for a Saturday night and later in the week it was $70

Was there for Osheaga - super nice value when all the other places in the city are exorbitantly priced during that time. They allow multiple people per room just tell them ahead of time and they'll accomodate. The staff really took time to explain how to get to the music festival site because it's not straight forward to someone who's...

We stayed on the lower level , windows didn't have any screen to open. Old building, carpeted hallways, beds weren't comfortable either. Internet was very poor in our room and only street parking . Small bathroom , very basic.

When we arrived, we got a room in the lower floor, the cellar, if you like. The room was nothing fancy, it was very basic, to say the least! No window, no airco, no nothing. Not the best place to stay.

Nice staff and had a great sleep. There was very conveniently a microwave, fridge and mini "kitchenette" area in the room - it was great as I stayed there 1 week and could not be bothered to go outside every day for meals. One hiccup - no elevator so don't bring heavy luggage...!

Clean room, quiet stay. Staff is helpful. Bathroom is tiny. Good place to crash if you're visiting because it's close to a lot of attractions. Mont Royal is walking distance - lots of cool shops/bars around also, the hipster kind.

The place was a dump. At 100$ a night, it was terrible. There was a cigarette burn in the sheets. I don't even know if it's a licensed business. I will Never come back. Just don't. Don't come. 100$ a night for a dump.

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
