Great hotel. Second time staying here. Staff is very friendly. We were in Montreal on a stopover on a hiking trip. Walked in with big backpacks. No weird or bad looks. Treated us no different than if we rolled up in limos. That says a lot about a place and it's staff. Rooms are very comfortable. My wife is determined...

Booked on short notice, good location, close to the train station. Check in was quick even though it was very busy. We have stayed at Sheratons before, this one was very loud at night, despite being on a "quiet" floor. Loud people in hallway multiple times during the night. No free wifi! You must pay $8 per day. Tried to...

We sincerely regret that your stay with us was not all that it could have been and we know that at the moment, an apology will do little to alter your opinion of our hotel. We feel that what sets a good hotel apart is the manner in which it reacts to their mistakes. May I request that at your...

I'm a Montrealer so I haven't stayed in the rooms but I often pass by the bar for a nice happy hour or a business meeting. The bartenders are knowledgeable not only about the city but also about their craft. Whether it's before/after a hockey game, or for a conference, please take time to grab a drink at the bar....

I stayed here 3 nights for a conference. The hotel was in a good location with some good nearby restaurants. As a conference facility it was good too. Good food for breakfast and lunch. At one point I had to change rooms because the rooms next to me was being worked on and the fumes from the work were in...

I stayed at this hotel in April, 2017 for business. I have been using this hotel for some time. It's located in the centre of downtown, and many restaurants and cafes are within walking distance. The room is clean and comfortable, but some rooms look slightly dated. They updated the gym, so the hotel may go through some renovation in...

I stayed here for a conference and continued on for several days when the conference was over. I can't say enough how enjoyable my stay was! The hotel facilities were nice, and more than ample for me, as I traveled alone. I used room service, the hotel bistro and the bar restaurant, and all were really nice; fast, friendly service...

Great service at the front desk, helpful tips from concierge and bell hop, and very nice snacks at Club Lounge if you stay on a Club floor. So close to Bell Center and shopping areas that it was perfect location for that type of trip. Room are a little dated, but clean and nice city views from higher floors.

Very large hotel in downtown Montreal. Located close to the Bell Centre. There is a bier markt next door which is fun for a night out. The rooms can be expensive, as is the restaurant in the hotel (we didn't try it though so I can't comment more there). The lobby is very nice and staff are pleasant. The location...

I've stayed at the Sheraton Le Centre Montreal for several years for business and this property can be relied on for its consistency. It is true to the Sheraton brand and seems to have recently undergone a renovation. I stayed on a higher floor so the view was nice. The bed, however, was not up to the Sheraton standard --...

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
