Stayed here for a night in July during the Osheaga music festival. First off the location was perfect. Right next to the subway station. There were a good amount of nice restaurants nearby. Room was modern, well kept and laid out. View of Mount Royal was really nice. In the morning we had the best free breakfast we've ever experienced!...

This hotel was centrally located on Rue St-Denis. There were plenty of shops and parks nearby. It was within walking distance of Old Montreal and Mont Royal also wasn't too far. It was a safe place to travel and stay as a solo woman. The breakfast was decent. They provided freshly squeezed juice, coffee, croissants and toast with cream cheese...

Have just spent 5 nights here. Excellent location in Latin quarter, surrounded by restaurants and uni students (so prices are good!). Easy walking to pretty much everywhere but metro is so cheap it doesn't matter. Hotel is a training academy so despite being 8 storeys high it only has about 50 rooms. Great service and quality in the restaurant. The...

This hotel is centrally located in the Quartier Latin district of Rue St Denis. There are zillions of restaurants and entertainment venues within walking distance. Bedding is very comfortable; the view from higher floors ensures you a good vista over the city. Plumbing is a problem, however. The shower water temperature was almost impossible to adjust and remained either too...

Slightly funny place, as its two floors of a "hotel school," but the rooms are totally nice, the location was great for walking or for the metro, good breakfast, very nice and helpful staff. And reasonably priced. We really liked it a lot.

Stayed here one night while visiting Montreal. The hotel is very nice and the location is good. A nice walk to old Montreal. The balcony was a great addition to this very nice and clean room. The staff was very helpful with local attractions and directions. Parking is available in an underground garage.

I stayed 2 nights at this hotel during the Labor Day weekend. The hotel is actually a school, teaching jobs related to the hotel industry. The reception is held by students and they are very professional, 5 stars for them. The room was clean an tidy, rather big I would say, but it felt a little bit old and dark....

To get to the hotel, we walked though an interesting mix of small bars and restaurants frequented by students, moms with kids and some very disturbed vagrants. We never felt concerned for our safety, but I could see how someone would. On the other side was a very well kept and ritzy neighborhood. Easy walk to the bus station. Our...

We just spent 3 nights at this wonderful Hotel. Room was super clean. It has hardwood floor instead of carpets, and you could tell it was cleaned thoroughly. Get a room with a balcony facing West, towards the City and you will enjoy the most amazing views and sunsets while sipping a glasd of wine or tea. The staff were...

Super clean hotel with beautiful view. Rooms were clean and updated, check in was easy, and breakfast was elegant and delicious. Parking was only 19 a day, and if you didn't use the entire day, you were charged only partially. The hotel was conveniently located above the metro, so it was super easy to get around. Only a 20 min...

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
