Very, very disappointed with this hotel. Multiple problems with check-in, cleanliness of room (including an empty condom packet by the bed), an incredibly noisy air conditioner, linen not changed when requested, received poor staff responses, who basically ignored our requests for assistance. We had a future booking when we returned to Montreal two weeks later, which of course we cancelled....

What a beautiful posh hotel. We just loved it. The roof pool was great for the kids!! Close to everything about a 5-10 min walk I would stay here again. Montreal I fell in love! Staff were great and we loved the mid afternoon treats ;)

I got a very nice room, clean and big. Service minded staff. Nice to have an Italian espresso machine in the room, 2 free coffees, additional choice at a price. Breakfast buffet is ok. Additional menu available. The swimming pool is very small.

Checked in two nights during the Easter weekend, it was a wonderful stay. Room was clean, quiet and close to everything. We upgraded to corner room for $20 extra. However the room is cold and the temp only set for 24 degrees c at most, so for these corner room with all windows and no external wall, it was cold....

The hotel is at a great location in downtown Montreal close to shops and the metro. The room was spacious and clean, with free wifi and a comfortable bed, fireplace, and great layout. I'd definitely stay at this hotel again.

Wonderfull rooms, wonderfull service, great little touches. Location is a block away from St catherines right in main shopping area. Subway stop across the street. Staff is very freindly and accomodates all your needs. The outdoor heated pool is great and very romantic as snow falls on you! I love this place and Will only go there when in Montreal....

This is second time I've stayed at the hotel. Got the classic room with fireplace and to be honest it was a bit smaller than we expected. For the same price we had stayed at the Loews a week prior and the room and bathroom were at least 50% bigger. Also, the adjacent rooms we're shall we say not exactly...

My daughter and I stayed here on a trip to visit McGill University. It is a very short walk to the university. The hotel itself was absolutely lovely. Beautiful, charming, spotless room. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
